Il nome si rifà al Ghibli, il vento caldo del deserto, fu lo stesso Miyazaki, appassionato di aviazione, a scegliere il nome. Ghibli era anche il soprannome del Caproni Ca.309, aereo della Regia Aeronautica. 🎬Negli anni Settanta Miyazaki e Takahata lavoravano per la Nippon Animation, ma presto le limitazioni di tema, convinsero i due animatori a lavorare per realizzare opere “in grado di immergere lo spettatore in profondità nella mente umana, e di trasmettergli in modo realistico le gioie e i dolori della vita” (Toshio Suzuki - Annecy International Animated Film Festival, 1996). 🎬Nacque, così, lo Studio Ghibli, con molte fatiche e con lavoratori ingaggiati a tempo determinato. I primi film ufficiali, “Il mio vicino Totoro”, “Una tomba per le lucciole” ebbero un discreto successo, ma fu con “Kiki – Consegne a domicilio” che la fama arrivò. 🎬Nel 2013, alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, dove presentava “Si alza il vento”, Miyazaki annunciò il ritiro dalle attività cinematografiche, ma nel 2015 si venne a sapere che il regista era impegnato in un nuovo progetto. - Prije četrdeset godina, Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata i ja osnovali smo Studio Ghibli sa željom da visokokvalitetna animacija dođe do djece i odraslih svih dobnih skupina. Doista smo daleko stigli da Studio Ghibli postane tako velika organizacija. Moi c’est Le Voyage de Chihiro 🥰 Si tu es fan de Ghibli et que tu es/vas au Japon prochainement, sache qu’il y a une exposition en ce moment jusqu’au 18 juin au musée d’art de Yokosuka ✨ C’est une expo sur le studio Ghibli, et sur Suzuki Toshio, producteur et co-fondateur du studio C’est vrai qu’en général on parle beaucoup plus de Miyazaki Hayao, mais des gens comme Suzuki Toshio ou encore Takahata Isao ont également joué un rôle important dans la création du studio Ghibli. Il s'agit du deuxième long métrage du réalisateur à remporter la statuette dans cette catégorie après « Le voyage de Chihiro » en 2003. Ces sont aussi les seuls deux films en animation traditionnelle (dessinés à la main) à remporter cette catégorie, établie par l'Académie des Oscars en 2002. C'est Chris Hemsworth et Anya Taylor-Joy qui ont accepté le prix au nom de Hayao Miyazaki et Toshio Suzuki, non présents dans la salles. C'est de Koganei, que le producteur a annoncé la bonne nouvelle au réalisateur par téléphone, qui n'assistait pas non plus à la diffusion de la cérémonie. Miyazaki a accueilli sa nouvelle victoire aux Oscars avec retenue. « Pour dissimuler sa joie, il était « normal » et a simplement déclaré que c'était « bien » d'avoir gagné », a expliqué Suzuki. Pour célébrer cette victoire historique, « The Boy and the Heron » sera de retour dans les salles japonaises le 20 mars, avec son doublage anglais sous-titré japonais, et une nouvelle affiche mentionnant son Oscar nouvellement gagné (et autres prix américains). La trama del film di Miyazaki non è quella dell’opera di Yoshino, il romanzo, infatti, viene citato all’interno del lungometraggio quasi come “testamento” da parte della madre del protagonista al figlio, è, però, importante ricordare che per Mahito, protagonista del film, il romanzo di Yoshino è un testamento, come per noi spettatori lo è l’opera di Miyazaki, un messaggio nel messaggio, una cosa splendida a cui solo il Maestro poteva pensare. Il film è ricco di significati e di simbolismi e sembra di essere immersi in un’opera d’arte surrealista, il viaggio di Mahito è un viaggio interiore, nel proprio inconscio, ma è il viaggio del regista stesso che ci dona al contempo la possibilità di immergerci con il protagonista in una nostra esperienza personale perché la complessità e l’unicità di questa opera è la spettacolare singolarità di ogni scena e la visionaria e personale interpretazione che noi stessi diamo alla storia. I just wanted to come out of my chest and take a huge relief to say this….I’M SO EXCITED AND GIVE A HUGE SHOUT OUT to Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki and the entire community of @ghibliusa for winning the Best Animated Feature Film Award for this year Oscar Award 2024. At first, I was so nervous about what might happen of who’ll be the winner out of each other animated films. Until one faithful day, it was announced that The Boy and The Heron had officially won the award (and I knew that it gotta win, lol). That just made my day so much happier and energetic as ever. This is their second time of winning the academy awards after 7 years of hard work developing, 10 years of Miyazaki’s retirement, 20 years long after Spirited Away had won their first Oscar award in 2002 (then been nominated from the other later films in that time), and 40 years of this company had defined as the most creative and influential film company in history. I’m just so ultimately grateful and proud that i decided to get into and watched more Ghibli film last year cause’ I do miss of rewatching one of the all time best films, after the first Ghibli movies as far I remember when I was a kid was in between My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. And then after rewatched and rediscovered other Ghibli films that I’ve heard, I began to realize of how ultimately amazing, stunning and so beautifully creative of how each Ghibli and Miyazaki films had ever that were inspired countless people with their stories, characters and even the message. Huge congrats to Miyazaki, Suzuki, the cast, crew and the entire community of Ghibli for won their second Oscar Award after all of your guys hard-work, emotions and passion in this best 2D reviving movie. by Natsuko FUKUE (AFP) Celebrated Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki won his second Oscar on Sunday with "The Boy and the Heron" -- the Studio Ghibli co-founder's first film in a decade, and potentially his last. The film, about a boy who moves to the countryside during World War II, won best animated feature, the same award scooped in 2003 by Miyazaki's "Spirited Away". It bested top rival "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", Disney's "Elemental", Netflix's "Nimona" and the dialogue-free "Robot Dreams". The director was not present in Los Angeles to accept the award, and also did not attend a Ghibli press conference in Tokyo where producer Toshio Suzuki spoke instead. Suzuki said he was "really happy, from the bottom of my heart", but described Miyazaki's less enthusiastic response as "normal, saying the win was good". Like other Ghibli titles, "The Boy and the Heron" is a visual feast in which mysterious creatures and strange characters cavort through a fantastical world. After his mother dies in the haunting fire-bombing of Tokyo during World War II, the boy, Mahito, struggles to accept his new life with his father and pregnant stepmother, who goes missing. Everything changes when Mahito meets a talking heron and embarks on a journey to an alternate universe shared by the living and the dead. The film's rural setting was "created mostly from my memory", Miyazaki said in a Japanese pamphlet for "The Boy and the Heron", whose original title translates as "How Do You Live?" Miyazaki, 83, also lived in a big country house during the war. He has said he did not set out to make an autobiography, but the film's father character "is very much like my own father". The animator co-founded Studio Ghibli in 1985, building a cult following with his highly imaginative depictions of nature and machines.
