Do you enjoy learning about the history behind popular places or are you more of a "see pretty things only type of person? I absolutely love learning fun facts about the places I visit. I didn't care for history during my time in school, to be honest. However, my oldest child would share fun stories and interesting anecdotes from her history class that would pique my interest. Then, we took her on a trip with us to London, Paris, Rome, and Venice. She continued to share her incredible insight into little-known, but fascinating, facts about the places we were visiting during that time. Did you know, for example, that the palace was not restricted to just the royal family. Others were allowed to visit the hunting lodge's gardens however, they had to be dressed correctly. If you did not have a proper outfit, you could rent one at one of the entrances to the Palace. If you did not want, or could not, rent an outfit then you were not allowed to enjoy the gardens of the palace. No doubt you have seen the Hall of Mirrors and the opulent rooms of Versailles. However, I feel like other parts of the property are not as appreciated. Take this hallway for example. The marble floors are exquisite and as you walk on them from one building to another it isn't hard to imagine prior royals strolling on those same floors.
If you could travel anywhere for free, where would it be and why? I think for me it would either Italy or Scandinavia. Italy, because... well it's Italy, and Scandinavia because of the snow, northern lights, and igloo huts! From this part of the terrace you can perfectly see the west wing of the castle supported on the rock, which is covered by mountain vegetation 🌿 From this perspective, the castle impresses with both its size and beauty. . One of the characteristic objects located here is one of the three historic gates leading to the castle 🏰 - the Neo-Baroque Lubiechowska Gate (visible in the photo). It was made in 1909 by a blacksmith from Wałbrzych on the initiative of Prince John Henry XV 🤴 During the last renovation, it gained attractive illumination, so it's also worth visiting in the evening 🌙 . ❔It's worth emphasizing that the Lubiechowska Gate had a representative function only and its purpose was to welcome guests visiting the castle. We're curious, do you know other castle/palace gates that were built for a similar purpose? 🤔 *** Pierwszy dzień na Dolnym Śląsku zaczęliśmy od spaceru w Książańskim Parku Krajobrazowym. Jednym z charakterystycznych obiektów znajdujących się tutaj jest jedna z trzech historycznych bram prowadzących do zamku 🏰 - neobarokowa Brama Lubiechowska (widoczna na zdjęciu). Elements that refer to Japanese gardens are the Tori gate, gazebo, wooden platforms and bamboo fences. The garden is relatively new (founded in 2014), so the vegetation hasn't bloomed enough to make a big impression. Elementami, które nawiązują do ogrodów japońskich są brama Tori, altana, drewniane pomosty a także bambusowe wygrodzenia. Ponadto roślinność a wśród niej formowane azalie, kształtowane sosny, gaj wiśniowy oraz rabata kosaćców. Ogród jest stosunkowo nowy (założony w 2014 roku), dlatego roślinność nie rozkwitła jeszcze na tyle, aby robić duże wrażenie. ENG 🇬🇧 / PL 🇵🇱 The next attractions of the Tricity are waterfalls💧located in the Gdańsk Oliwski Park and the Gdańsk Zoological Garden 🐅 A waterfall in the park can be found on the course of the Oliwa stream. Formerly, mill VII was located here (along the Oliwski stream were over 20 of them in total, where each had its own number). In turn, the waterfall in the zoo is located on the embankment, measures about 8 m high and is surrounded by lush vegetation 🌱 Its construction took two years and was done in a social act by seven zoo employees. Dawniej w tym miejscu znajdował się młyn VII (wzdłuż potoku Oliwskiego było ich w sumie ponad 20, gdzie każdy miał swój numer). Z kolei wodospad w zoo znajduje się na skarpie, mierzy około 8 m wysokości i otoczony jest bujną roślinnością 🌱 Jego budowa trwała dwa lata i co ciekawe wykonana została w czynie społecznym przez siedmiu pracowników zoo. Walking through the park we come across avenues that are planted with low-cut lime trees 🌿 (shown in the first photo). Their branches form a compact roof over the road. Most of these trees 🌳 were planted about 200 years ago, while establishing the park. The current shape of the crowns of these trees was formed at their annual pruning. Among different the green and charming alleys surrounded by unprecedented vegetation 🌱 we can find newlyweds. This is not surprising, because this area is a great scenery for a wedding session. . ❔Who of you dream of a photo session here 🥰 not necessarily a wedding one, or maybe one of you already had it here or recommends another equally beautiful place? 😊 *** Będąc w Gdańsku warto wpaść do dzielnicy Oliwa i tam odwiedzić Park Oliwski im. Adama Mickiewicza. Spacerując po parku natkniemy się na aleje, które obsadzone są nisko strzyżonymi lipami 🌿(widoczne na pierwszym zdjęciu). Ich gałęzie tworzą zwarty dach nad drogą - bindaż. Większość z tych drzew 🌳 została posadzona ok. 200 lat temu, czyli jeszcze podczas zakładania parku. Obecny kształt koron tych drzew został uformowany przy ich corocznym przycinaniu. Wśród różnych zielonych i urokliwych alejek otoczonych niespotykaną nigdzie indziej roślinnością 🌱 możemy spotkać nowożeńców. Nic w tym dziwnego, ponieważ ta okolica jest świetną scenerią do sesji ślubnej. . ❔Komu z was marzy się tutaj sesja zdjęciową 🥰 niekoniecznie ślubna, a może ktoś z was już ją tutaj miał albo poleca inne równie piękne miejsce? 😊 ***

Marysieńka was the wife of King Jan III Sobieski, one of the owners of the palace in nearby Kolibki. W przypadku klifu Orłowskiego tak się stało, nie planowaliśmy sesji zdjęciowej, ale na samym szczycie malowały się tak piękne widoki, że nie sposób było im się oprzeć. Ponadto lubimy robić sobie zdjęcia razem 🙈 I tak oto powstało kilka ujęć, z których nie potrafimy wybrać najlepszego 🙉 . ❔Które z tych zdjęć (1,2,3 lub 4) wg was jest najlepsze i jak to jest u was ze wspólnymi zdjęciami? Za kilka lat a może nawet i za rok miejsce to może wyglądać zupełnie inaczej niż dziś a drzew 🌳, które widzicie na zdjęciu możecie już nie znaleźć. ENG 🇬🇧 / PL 🇵🇱 While being in Gdynia, it is worth climbing the Orłowski cliff. We got there walking the beach (about 5 km) from Sopot and we highly recommend this way. The climb to the cliff leads through the forest. From above, there is a beautiful view of the pier in Gdynia, the beach and the Gulf of Gdansk. Here you can really relax, recharge your batteries and get some sea air. We decided to visit the sea out of season due to smaller crowds of tourists, but we found slightly less pleasant weather. ❔As you travelling to the sea, do you prefer in season or out? . You can see the route to the cliff in highlighted instastories 🥰 *** Będąc w Gdyni warto wspiąć się na klif Orłowski. My dotarliśmy tam spacerując plażą (około 5 km) z Sopotu i tą formę bardzo polecamy. Podejście na klif prowadzi przez las. Z góry roztacza się piękny widok na molo w Gdyni, plażę i Zatokę Gdańską. W tym miejscu naprawdę można wypocząć, naładować baterie i zaczerpnąć morskiego powietrza. Zdecydowaliśmy się na morze poza sezonem ze względu na mniejsze tłumy turystów, ale trafiliśmy na nieco mniej przyjemną pogodę. ❔A jak u was z podróżami nad morze, wolicie w sezonie czy poza? . Przebieg trasy na klif możecie zobaczyć w wyróżnionych instastories 🥰 ***

The Nurse sharks would casually swim up on the dock and chill there while I gazed in amazement at them! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not once on the dock or in the water did they ever show any signs of aggression. They were calm and casually swimming around. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are in the Exumas put this on your list of things to do! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of the ways to get there is by a tour boat. We went with @Aquaquest and they did not disappoint! The boat ride and stops they took us to where so much fun and energetic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The boat captains were amazing and personable. They knew everyone's name and made you feel like you had known them for ages. The first of them Pachia Amos is the longest and most popular among tourists. The descent to the water is gentle here and the bottom of the sea is sandy. In contrast, the northern and southern parts are more rocky. This beach belongs to one of the most popular and often awarded beaches in Greece 💕 . During our stay we visited Balos, Elafonisi and Falasarna, which captivated us very much 🏝️ ❔ Do you think are there any other beautiful Greek beaches worth attention? 🤔 *** Będąc na Krecie warto zwrócić uwagę na jeszcze jedną plażę - Falasarna. Jest ona podzielona na dwa odcinki. Pierwszy z nich Pachia Amos jest najdłuższy i najbardziej popularny wśród turystów. Zejście do wody jest tutaj łagodne, a dno morza piaszczyste. Natomiast północna i południowa część jest bardziej kamienista. Plaża ta należy do jednej z najbardziej popularnych i często nagradzanych plaż w Grecji 💕 .
