My band's next single, "I Could Kill You (But I Don't Want To)," is battle music. Since childhood, I've been inspired by video game scores, especially those of Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Yoko Shimomura (Street Fighter II), and this catchy, high-energy music of valiant conflict was a major influence on the new recording. Another kind of battle, competitive sports, has provided one of my favorite uses of music in the world: the pulsing rock and techno anthems that blast through the powerful PAs of sports arenas as teams take the field. These songs and moments, too, are inspirations for this track. Beat the cloudy weather and come enjoy Eiji Uematsu's warm, earthy ceramic works in our gallery today. A faint, waning moon takes form in this hanging clay piece. Titled "morning moon," the work centers a gestural, abstracted rendering of the circular body amongst a porous, dotted sky, which seems to mirror the cratered surface of the moon itself, or the fading starlight. Soft lines and holes in the ceramic plaque give it an appearance almost as if the glint of moon and stars are refracted and reflected on the surface of a body of water, chased away, dissolving as the morning sun pours in. 【火と水～己の中の焔】 渋谷の画材屋UEMATSUさんの 外のショーウインドウに 今 「炎と水(火と水)」 というタイトルで絵を飾っていただいております。 月曜日に作品を追加する予定で 新たに「焔」 を描きました。 これは わたしの中にある焔 決して消えず この焔は 「この人生で本来やるべきことをちゃんと出来ているか？！」 「魂の約束を果たしているか？」 「そして生を思いっきり味わっているか？！」 そんな問いが自分に燃え盛る 火って 赤であり オレンジであり 黄色であり 青であり 炭(黒)になる 段階によって色が変化する 心の灯火から 燃え盛る情熱まで 去年、関西のエステサロンで調整していただくときに わたしにさわったとたん 「うわっ！麻耶ちゃんてものすごい火を心のなかに持っているのね🔥」 と見抜かれました笑 この焔の色はずっとわたしの中にある色 ちょっとダークと思われるかもしれない色かもしれませんが この色が好きなんです。 これを描し始めたときは 旅中で絵の具を数本しか持っていなくて笑 でもそれがまんまこの色だったって そのときは「火」を描くときだったんだなと、想います そして、なんていうか、 近年 火の粘度が増した氣がします😆 相手の魂の奥を見ようとする時、 ちょっとヤンキーなわたしが 「この火に匹敵する情熱を貴方は持ってるわけ？！！」と問いただす。 蛇が睨むように。 これ龍も浮かび上がってきたんですよ。緋龍🔥 縦と横どっちが好きですか？ #mayapaint #緒形麻耶 #ogatamaya #mayaogata #火 #焔 #炎 #uematsu #画材屋

Das Werk bietet unvergessliche Melodien in Form von fesselnden Orchestersuiten, die von den uns am 20. Masayoshi Soken is a composer best known for leading audio on Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI. Soken holds the world record for most composed songs for a single project, with Final Fantasy XIV having over 400+ original compositions. In May 2021, during the last evening of the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, Soken revealed to fans that he composed the last year of music while in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy. Soken was born in La Paz, Mexico before his family relocated to Tokyo. After graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in Chemistry, Soken found work at Konami as a sound editor. He joined Square in 1998 working as a sound designer, with his debut as a music composer in the Japan-exclusive sports game “Nichibeikan Pro Baseball: Final League”. Soken’s early work can be heard in games like “Mario Hoops 3-on-3” and “Dawn of Mana”. Soken was assigned to work as a sound director on Final Fantasy XIV with composer Nobuo Uematsu leading music. Producer Naoki Yoshida said in interviews that when development was rebooted after the failed MMO launch, Soken was one of the few team members excited for the new version of the game. Soken took over as primary composer, composing over 400+ critically acclaimed soundtracks for the game. He formed the rock band “The Primals” with members of the games sound team to help create the music and to perform live at fan gatherings. It is expected that Soken will be the primary composer for the entire franchise moving forward as Uematsu steps down for health reasons. During the closing moments of the Final Fantasy XIV Digital Fan Festival 2021, Soken asked for a moment to talk about his personal life. He revealed that for the last year he had been battling cancer, composing many of the songs from his hospital bed. Furthermore, he had kept this a secret from most of the dev team. Chotaro Uematsu (1899-1959) was the founder of the Tosui kiln. He was also the mastermind behind the Tosui kiln as he would design the blueprints for many of the kiln's pots and then commission them for production by the artisan Mizuno brothers (Masao and Haramatsu). Uematsu also made some pots of his own and these are usually highly unique and whimsical using experimental clay bodies, experimental glazes and one-of-a-kind forms. This is a great example of Uematsu's whimsical works, created most likely in the 1930s. The detail on this pot is incredible with multilayered glazes and carefully placed windows featuring quaint motifs of bamboo, a black pine and a plum tree. The little colored orbs I find a nice touch and the mokko build is strong and gives the pot a unique presence. Additionally, if you look carefully each window is highlighted with a silver/grey glaze on the perimeter. Overall, the detail on this small 9.8cm pot is really like no pot I have ever seen. I consider it a small gem of a masterpiece by this often-overlooked legend Uematsu.

J’avais envie de vous partager ce petit bout de souvenir que j’ai sur Chrono Trigger. En effet, j’ai connu ce jeu pas sur Snes mais sur DS et grâce à l’émulation. En effet un ami de mon père nous avait offert un linker (R4) et je m’étais mît à télécharger plein de jeu sur DS. Ce dernier en fit partie. Pour être franc je ne connaissais pas du tout le jeu, j’avais lu dans RPG magazine que Chrono Trigger était une fusion de plusieurs grands noms de la culture japonaise, à savoir Toriyama (DB), Sagakuchi (FF) et Yuji Hori. Uematsu quand à lui se chargera de la bande son. Tout de suite lors de nos premières séances de gameplay avec mon frère on a tout de suite kiffé et quel amour. On a été happé par le jeu, ce qui se passa arriva et mon frère @e.k.r.95 l’acheta. Aujourd’hui ce jeu est chez moi, il le restera comme un joyaux et comme un de mes trésors les plus sacrés avec toute cette vibe de souvenirs qui nous est cher. Il trône à côté de ses compères FFVI ou bien pokemon Rouge. En tête, et à travers mes écrits j’ai le thème de Frog. N’oubliez pas d’acheter vos jeux vidéos pour vous même et non pour un but spéculatif, essayant de faire du profit.
