The show was amazing, and I was right there at the front singing along to every word. After the show, myself and around 10 others went around back in hopes to meet the guys. We got lucky and met Dan and Atom. Matt was feeling ill, so stayed on the tour bus. I got a CD copy of For Your Lungs Only signed by Dan, and the clam shell poster signed by Atom. It was an unforgettable night. ⠀ The Cure - Disintegration (1989)⠀ ⠀ ~~~~~⠀ It's the 35th anniversary of this album's release. One of the most consistent and complete albums from Robert Smith and gang in my humble opinion. After the wonderful chaos of Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, I bought this album expecting another mad collision of styles, ideas and mood. What it was instead was a relentlessly dark and spectacular album. I remember putting on this same record 35 years ago and was instantly overcome by the washes of gloriously melancholic, monolithic songs right off the bat with Plainsong and it would continue swell and crescendo with the stunning Fascination Street. There wasn't a filler in sight which is why this album is, for most Cure fans, their magnum opus. Over 35 years, it has lost none of its noir sheen. Porcupine Tree - The Delerium Years: 1991 - 1997 (2020) Thirteen-disc box set documenting Porcupine Tree's early years. Great sounding release, with beautiful 140 pages book and two posters. Besides main records and "Voyage 34" there are couple releases that were harder to find like "The Staircase Infinities," "Metanoia," "Transmission IV" and "Insignificance." Additionally, there's compilation "The Sound Of No One Listening" which gathers some single edits, demos and compilation tracks. Only real complaint would be so-so quality of CD sleeves for the album - you'd expect a better packaging for such a box. There're by no means bad, just could be better. 💀💀💀 🎸BAND: Adramelech 💿ALBUM: Psychostasia ⏳YEAR: 1996 🌍COUNTRY: Finland 🎵GENRE: Death Metal „The hall of Double Justice The judges of the dead Face to face with Osiris The soul will be weighed“ The Finnish Death Metal scene brought forth a lot of outstanding music, to an extent that brings up the question why this scene isn‘t as popular as the American or Swedish ones (without taking anything away from those, of course). Bands as weirdly compelling as Demilich or just plainly amazing at writing riff-heavy Death Metal songs like Demigod drag the listener down the rabbit hole within seconds. Adramelech is another one of these bands, their debut PSYCHOSTASIA widely regarded as a morbid highlight of Finnish Death Metal. Although its release year of 1996 lies a bit after the genre‘s golden era and it obviously bears some similarities to the work of the group‘s colleagues, the album still sounds lively, fresh and definitely original. There is a unique elegance to the way in which Adramelech effortlessly mold riff after riff into compelling songs that keep up a certain kind of catchiness even in their most pulverizing moments. Every performance is as tight as could be and the production is almost clean for a 90s Death Metal release, yet PSYCHOSTASIA doesn‘t lack in brutality or gloomy atmosphere at any point of its short and sweet 34-minute runtime. Perhaps a strongly simplified way of describing this record‘s sound would be to say that Adramelech take the style of Demilich and make it both more melodic and accesible… if that makes any sense at all. Pour la France, c'est @slimane qui nous représente avec "Mon amour". Autre artiste déjà reconnu : @ollyalexanderr pour le Royaume-Uni avec "Dizzy". Pour les fans du concours, c'est le retour de deux anciennes candidates : @herabjork pour l'Islande et @nataliabarbu_official pour la Moldavie. Autre retour, celui du Luxembourg après 30 ans d'absence au concours. L'Armenie est représentée par le groupe franco-armenien @ladaniva.ladaniva J'ai pas encore fait mon classement (j'attends les demi-finales 😜) mais j'ai déjà quelques titres qui sortent du lot (dans le désordre): Croatie, Autriche, Suède, Italie, Belgique,... Le concours débute le mardi 7 mai avec la première demi-finale, se poursuit le jeudi 9 avec la seconde demi-finale pour se conclure le samedi 11 mai avec la finale. En mayo de 1996 Eva Cassidy publicaba su álbum en directo grabado en el club de jazz "Blues Alley" de Washington D.C. en enero de ese mismo año, un garito donde ha tocado y grabado discos cualquier nombre importante del mundo del jazz que se os ocurra. Este fue también el último disco publicado por la cantante / guitarrista ya que murió ese mismo año a los 33 años como consecuencia de un cáncer. En vida nunca tuvo el reconocimiento que merecía, así que fue ella misma quien puso la pasta para esta grabación. Fue unos años después de su muerte cuando sus discos fueron un auténtico éxito en England, consiguiendo varios números 1 y más de 10 millones de discos vendidos, tambien entro en las listas de éxitos de Australia, Alemania, Noruega, Suecia y Suiza, pero como digo un par de años después de su muerte. "Live at Blues Alley" sirve como ejemplo de los gustos eclécticos de Cassidy, que abarca artistas clásicos y contemporáneos desde Billie Holiday hasta Sting, incluidos Al Green, Pete Seeger, Irving Berlin... Su versión de "Fields of Gold" de Sting fue utilizada por las compañías discográficas para promocionar su música en 2001. Una gran voz, merece mucho la pena escucharla.
