Not your Average Anglers @trudeowens Sturgeon fishing is already extremely scary, hooking one of these monsters in the middle of the night is terrifying 😂 Hooked up to this giant at 12:20am, and didn’t land it until just before 5am. We didn’t even get to see this fish until 3 1/2 hours into the fight. All we knew was we couldn’t control it at all, and heard massive wale like splashes as it jumped 5 times during the fight in complete darkness. Legit felt like the old man from one of my favorite books “the old man and the sea”, wondering if this fish was even worth what we were putting ourselves through haha. FREEZING water, complete exhaustion, barely being able to grip the rod as our grip strength was shot, as we had already caught 20 sturgeon over a 2 day stretch before hooking into this fish just after Midnight on our final night of the trip. Nothing humbles you quite like fighting these pre-historic beasts over a couple of days, it’s exhausting, painful, and an absolute grind, but I love every single moment 🙏🏼

A while back I had my younger cousin @edwardsalvetti123 who has Autism, make his mom and dad something from the heart. He did this with little to no help and made some sweet looking tubes!
