Precision on a print lol. TLDR: V2 PDX2000 Dynamic Balancing Mod: Sleeker profile, better slide action. This is that Vestax mod I made but I have been working a v2 that is shorter (first pic) and better sliding action (second pic). Going shorter cause I got these plastic covers for my PDX 2000s that I use and the knobs were touching them. Kinda tough to get the slide part down since printed surfaces suck but eh. Uses 1 more screw and heat insert than last time but I took out the spacers. Changed the knob to be lower profile as well. I start DJing with Vinyls. So I am Vinyls Dj too.Before started Digital Music programs like Serato, Tracktor, etc. Unfortunately I can’t carried anymore 200 records and travel with them. However I decided switch everything digital. For now I work with USB drivers, Serato pro ,Pioneer Rekord box.However my first turntable was Gemini belt drive! But I wasn’t happy with that. I’ve heard great things about black lion audio so I chose there output expander to extend my I/o with adat optical cables for my Focusrite red 16 line to maximize my I/o with my trident to match the full 24 Chanel in /out . cabling arrived for the full insert send/returns!!! I’m getting there- had to get a few more Samson patchbays and some more Mogami cables again😝 now to get down and dirty mounting/wiring cables once again🥴 getting close to starting the processing hardware rack which will be really exciting. I got some pieces for that already but 2024 we about to go all chips in🫡

Man I love designing stuff. (Section cut for the front, second photo is the full model.) This looks cool as hell. Open Source Dynamic Balancing Mod that I am designing for #pdx2000 and #pdx3000 turntables. Reminiscent to the SoSharp mods that no longer are available. 3D printable and Full documentation will be available including the math on how the modification works. This stuff shouldnt be a secret. Been printing out pieces to make sure my settings are all right and the parts fit on to the tonearm easily. The hardware I will need to wait to buy since its expensive to buy in bulk. But since I am buying in bulk, I can make parts kits for those that want to build their own. Will sell at cost plus shipping, so stay tuned. Love adding the #vestax flair to the front and keep with the theme but let me know if I should remove for the parts kits. As for the model, it will be up on my printables account when I make sure everything works as intended. Anyone remember the sosharp dynamic balancing mods that got discontinued? They were trying to emulate the pdx2300 pro tonearms that @ogdjclos told me about when I was getting an assessment for BJIOS. They can let you scratch with the platter at 45 degrees, but what's better is the fact that with a spring providing the force, the intertia of the needle jump is reduced, because the spring acts faster than a weight starting it's decent from a stop. This makes the needle more likely to stay in the groove even at the same weight setting. I got curious and started doing some research and it looks like these can be designed with some statics know-how. Designing some diy open source parts that use mcmaster fasteners and springs. Going to release all the documentation, spring force math, explanations, build guide, everything for free when I'm done. Might print a couple for those that want to buy some cheap plastic parts to build their own, but not trying to make money on this fun project. Also I tried using some fat paint markers to paint on the letters unsuccessfully but the next one I print will be final version with bigger weight indicators. Range is currently from 2 to 6 grams. Found this picture and it brought me back to a different time of my life. Before I went all in on painting and moved to Santa Fe, I was a DJ and played clubs, bars and block parties all over Oahu. Everyone knew me as Wish. It was a fun/wild time in my life but I was definitely going in a bad direction. When I started to loss so many friends I had to make the decision to walk away and make a big change. I definitely miss those times and being up on stage commanding the crowds but I’m very thankful for where I’m at today. I was recently clearing out storage boxes on my balcony and finally found this photo that I have been trying to find for years of my Ghost-Hunting Cat - DJ that I shot in my old haunted warehouse in Highland Park shown below. I had just gotten Sponsored by VESTAX and the first thing he did was jump up on my turntables and claim them as his own when I brought them home, and when he first got to the warehouse as a kitten his whiskers were all black but once he started playing with the ghost children one of his whiskers turned bright white which you can see on the left of his face.
