And the reason why we did it was not to spoil the fact that “Our Significant Others” would have one alternate ending shown on that screen in addition to the main one delivered on stage, i.e. two endings instead of one. So, as promised to our audience, we are now sharing the results of the survey submitted to them at the end of each show: - Question: which of the two endings did you prefer? Ending 1 - on stage: Catherine stays with Max, Sophie lives again with Richard, and Ashley remains in custody at the CID Ending 2 - on screen: Catherine leaves Max, Sophie moves in with Richard but only on Sophie’s terms, and Ashley’s statement “I arrived at 9 p.m.” is confirmed by her two friends Results: 50.0% preferred Ending 1 - on stage 42.6% preferred Ending 2 - on screen 7.4% liked both or suggested hybrid endings, i.e. combinations of Ending 1 & 2, or hilarious alternatives, e.g. one spectator recommended that Catherine marries the pizza delivery man 😅 The participation rate was high (85%) and many of you shared valuable comments in addition to their votes - thanks a lot for this 🙏 There was in general a consensus about the fact that Ending 1 represented a 100% happy, romantic & righteous end whereas Ending 2 was more of a parodic but realistic end. However, people were more divided about the use of a video to close the show: some spectators said they would have preferred Ending 2 to be played on stage whereas others said they much preferred that we had kept this alternate parodic end on screen. Publika je imala prilike da čuje tekstove koji govore o ženskom telu, zdravlju, nasilju nad ženama, različitim načinima na koje možemo da volimo svoje telo ali i tome kako ono, nažalost, biva stigmatizovano. Zahvaljujemo se Galeriji „Metodi Meta Petrov“ na ustupljenom prostoru. „Vaginine monologe“ napisala je američka spisateljica i aktivistkinja V (prethodno Iv Ensler), a oni se danas izvode širom planete u okviru kampanje „Jedna milijarda ustaje protiv nasilja nad ženama“. Akciju je 2013. godine pokrenula V, kao reakciju na zabrinjavajuću statistiku Ujedinjenih nacija da 1 od 3 žene za vreme svog života bude pretučena, silovana ili psihički zlostavljana. Kako je tada na svetu živelo 7 milijardi ljudi, to je značilo da preko milijardu žena doživi neki oblik nasilja. Sa sadašnjom svetskom populacijom od 8 milijardi taj broj je, nažalost i veći. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we cannot leave any woman out, especially those that have been hurt or harmed in any way. Women are the core strength that keeps our humanity going, and we must protect them at all costs. They are the ones that birth us, nurture us, guide us, heal us, and love us unconditionally, and never should we use them, abuse them, or manipulate them to be used at times of war to push narratives or propaganda. The war in Israel is being used to use women as pawns to turn against one another, and we must not fall for such a dangerous game of deceit. Women must rise to protect one another from the evil acts of warfare, and not fall prey to how the violence of war affects everyone, especially women. If we don’t stand in unity to resist the very thing that wants to hurt us, and that means every woman, no matter her race, or which side of the religious narrative she was born, then we allow for the patriarchy to win. Today I speak to all women; my sisters, and I ask you to rise, and fight for, and protect all women, even those you have been taught to hate. This is a time to transcend the voices that want to drown ours out, and dull our ancient wisdom that knows we are all one. We must speak up loudly, and demand that all women be protected, especially now when we are facing the greatest darkness of our time. It is us that must fight to save our humanity and our precious planet, mama Gaia that is being assaulted daily. Članice mreže Žene protiv nasilja (Centar za devojke Niš, Žene za Mir Leskovac, SOS Vlasotince, Nezavisni ženski centar Dimitrovgrad) izvele su juče u Dimitrovgradu čitajući performans „Vaginini monolozi“. Publika je imala prilike da čuje tekstove koji govore o ženskom telu, zdravlju, nasilju nad ženama, različitim načinima na koje možemo da volimo svoje telo ali i tome kako ono, nažalost, biva stigmatizovano. Zahvaljujemo se Galeriji „Metodi Meta Petrov“ na ustupljenom prostoru. „Vaginine monologe“ napisala je američka spisateljica i aktivistkinja V (prethodno Iv Ensler), a oni se danas izvode širom planete u okviru akcije „Jedna milijarda ustaje protiv nasilja nad ženama“. Akciju je 2013. godine pokrenula V, kao reakciju na zabrinjavajuću statistiku Ujedinjenih nacija da 1 od 3 žene za vreme svog života bude pretučena, silovana ili psihički zlostavljana. Kako je tada na svetu živelo 7 milijardi ljudi, to je značilo da preko milijardu žena doživi neki oblik nasilja. Sa sadašnjom svetskom populacijom od 8 milijardi taj broj je, nažalost i veći. A woman was shot at Florin Road and Greenhaven Drive in Greenhaven and later died at a nearby hospital on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Police said that when officers arrived at Lake Crest Shopping Center they located a woman with at least one life-threatening gunshot wound. Sacramento Fire Department personnel took her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, said a police statement. A police spokesperson said the incident remains under investigation. A family member told The OBSERVER that the victim was her cousin, Chasity Sparkman, a 26-year-old mother of two. Vanessa Renee-Adams said that earlier that night, Sparkman’s husband had beaten her. The family has set up a Cash App account, $Justice4Chasity, for her children.
