Ms. Gejalakshmi, District Coordinator of Women's Hub Centre participated as the special guest and gave a speech to the students about the need for protection of girl children. The need for education for girls and the welfare programs of the government for women. It was also advised to avoid climbing the money tree for plucking nungu. Also girls were advised to be very safe and be very cautious as more people from outside areas come towards the villages during these holidays. The objectives of our project activities were also discussed. Gender equality was discussed. Helpless children were told about the amount of assistance available from the government for children who are without their parents. Awareness was created about the child and the effects of child marriage were highlighted. Children were asked for their opinions. On 25.4.24. Gingee dignity center organized training on Skill development for young women in Sorathur Village in Gingee Taluk. As the beginning of training Volunteer Ms. Rajaveni welcomed them all. Mrs. Kejalakshmi, Coordinator of District Women Empowerment Center of Villupuram District Social Welfare Department, was the special invitee for this exercise and gave an opinion to the students about the need for the protection of girl children, the need for education for girls and the welfare programs of the government for women. Also in the training the students were trained about violence against women and rights for women and the psychological changes that occur during growing up and how we can prepare ourselves at this age and educational guidance for further studies. Mr. Tammadeva, coordinator of Mudayur Intellectual Education Center and Mr. Ettiyapan, Psychological Counselor of Villupuram Women's Resource Center were also present as special invitees for this training. 25 students participated in this training and shared their ideas and benefited. At the end of the training Ms. Arul ,he education teacher thanked them for looking for a home. Following a concerning rise in women’s violence, a nationwide rally is set to take place this weekend throughout different cities in Australia. The rally is set to advocate for change, and force Australia to address the urgent problem of violence against women.
