Yes you can! Don't believe everything your brain comes up with for reasons why you can't. It's a magic machine - ask yourself "why can't I do XXX?" or "why is YYYY not possible for me?" and it will tell you. Keep the faith with yourself, ask it "How can I do XXX?" On my Christmas shopping ventures today I came across his new store at the Eaton center @blackownedtoronto and went looking around. Ack! 😫 I'm very behind on my posts!! I'll get caught up...eventually 🤣 Back in October I told the kids I was bringing in a special guest for our art class. In the class we learned about an artist technique called Negative Space Drawing. Their subject for this lesson was Betty Bones, my lovely skeleton friend (not pictured here, they aren't too fond of the spot light) and the kids were to draw the negative space in Betty's ribs. Essential we were creating an X-ray looking drawing of Betty's chest. We worked on our colour theory, making sure the rib section and the negative space were clearly defined by either warm or cool colour palettes. A lot of the kiddos decided to even use complimentary colours to make their ribs pop! This was a challenging project to say the least. Our brains automatically want to fill in all the detail and not see the negative space around our subject matter. I saw a lot of struggles but many over came and exceled. Happy Friday the 13th everyone! I’m beyond hype to finally share this with you all. This is my custom @superplastic Uber Janky (it’s so big) This piece was made for @torontocollective ‘s launch of the Janky series 2!!
