Technically we don’t have the season Fall in our country. Unlike other countries, Bangladesh has got six seasons. শরৎ and হেমন্তকাল (Autumn and Late Autumn) is pretty much our version of Fall. Typical food at a dawat (feast). The dawat consisted of various items but the highlight was the cow brain bhaazi - probably one of the nicest thing that I had in Banglesh. This was the first time I had brain bhaji. It had an extremely soft texture and melted away effortlessly. This is because the cow brain predominantly consists of fats. There were other items including king prawn which was rich in flavour and had a spicy kick at the end. I had the typical meat and chicken curry. I added green lemon to both which enhanced the flavour. The Bengali lemon is different to the conventional lemon we have in the UK. It has a much better taste! . . . #sasabites #food #authenticfood #organicfood #indianfood #bengalifood #southasiancuisine #sylhet #dhaka #chittagong #dawat #pakistanifood #curry #homemadecurry #chicken #fish #lunch #feast #day #love #vegan #kingprawn #cowbrain #bhaji #Dhakawithnewtons

@sihonsultanaumi ❤️ #DhakawithNewtons ··· “ ~Know the History of the Aesthetic's~ Curzon Hall is a structure in Dhaka, Bangladesh, that has an extremely fascinating history. It was significant in many political battles and is today a vital part of traditional education. The University of Dhaka has a School of Science division, of which the Curzon Hall is a part thereof. Its massive structure stands as a monument to the heritage of education in the city. Thus a dream that did not come true for its creator became as important as its original purpose was meant to be. Visiting Curzon Hall is not only a journey into the past, but it is an architectural masterpiece to marvel at. The Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon, had a vision. He wanted to create a spectacular town hall for the city. In the year 1904 the foundation for this breathtaking building was laid, but due to the partitioning of Bengal, the Curzon Hall became Dhaka College in 1911. It took up its position as part of the science division of the Dhaka University in 1921. The hall was also the scene of the student uprising against the language policy that Mohammed Ali Jinnah tried to impose. . It is one of the prime examples of architecture in the city. It is a unique combination of Mughal and European designing styles and the traditional artistry of the time was made to blend exquisitely with the modern features. Visitors to Curzon Hall will therefore be able to view magnificent domes, stunning horse-show arches and cusped arches. The red coloring of the building is extremely unique considering that red sandstone was not used. It also features beautiful pavilions and breathtaking eaves. . All these structures are reminders to the development of the city and are as important to the locals of Dhaka today, as they were when they were constructed. As an architectural wonder and home to science, the Curzon Hall is an unforgettable attraction. . . . #heritage #dhakagraam #bangladesh #dhakauniversity #dhakawithnewtons #photography #placetovisit @newtonsarchive Nominating Tonika apu,Nowshin apu to share their favourite spots in dhaka with the hashtag ”

📍Ottorbagh Tea Estate, Maulvibazar . . . I had the opportunity to visit the managing director's bungalow at my local tea estate. The workers were very welcoming and showed me around the place. The bungalow sat on top of a hill where you can get an amazing view of the tea garden. The bungalow had all the modern amenities except a gas cooker. When asked, the workers said the owners prefer eating food cooked on wooden fire. As they are used to eating food on gas and they find that the food tastes better when cooked on wood fire. I definitely agree with them! Sorry, I couldn't show much of the bungalow as the workers requested me not to. @atinyreader ❤️ #DhakawithNewtons ··· “ Swipe for mood. I have lived in so many places, from Lalmatia to Gulshan, in this life of 23 years. Never have I felt more at home than when I lived in Uttara. It's been almost a decade since we moved here, after having lived in Gulshan for 8 years. I didn't complain about it much because I was so used to it. I automatically adapted to any place I was taken, and since I rarely got out of the house on my own, it didn't matter anyway. Maybe it was the timing of getting this weird chance to start somewhere new. I made friends from my coaching, began to travel almost everywhere alone, no cars. From going over to my friends' house anytime I wanted and even sneaking out early from school saying I didn't have anymore classes left, to hanging out with colleagues after work without having to worry about how much time it would take to tackle the traffic back home. It was probably more because of my age back then than anything else, but I had felt my first taste of freedom here and it'll forever be where I am happiest. #DhakaWithNewtons • 10.00pm - 9th September, 2019 • #fangirling #readers #book #photographer #bookstagram #bookworm #bookstagramfeatures #bookphotograph  #fandoms #bibliophile #bookstagramBD #bangladesh #lightroomcc #lightroomedit #lightroompreset #warmpreset #warm #presets #authors #tea

@literary_rebel95 ❤️ Shop The Dhaka Candle! #DhakawithNewtons ··· “ @newtonsarchive came up with this most amazing hashtag. #DhakaWithNewtons ⠀ You’ll have to tell a story about your favourite place in this beautiful, magical city. ⠀ I love my rooftop with all my heart. It has got a small garden- that is not so small anymore- which my Mom loves to tend to. And it has got a breathtaking view of Dhanmondi. I always find myself gravitating towards my rooftop whenever I’m stressed. And lemme remind you I’m almost always stressed nowadays. Blame exams. The smell of flowers, fresh air and fluffy clouds elevates my spirit and calms my nerves. It works wonders for my mind. ⠀ Wanna appreciate our Dhaka city? Here’s what you gotta do- 1. Share the picture of your favorite place in Dhaka. If you have the candle already what are you even waiting for? Take your phone/camera and snap away. If you don’t it’s totally okay, take a photo anyway. ⠀ 2. Write in the caption why you love it ⠀ 3. 📍Panshi Restaurant, Sylhet . . . I remember getting this following a haircut. I was so hungry and wanted to grab something quick! So I went to Panshi and ordered this popular snack - paratha, omelette & bengali tea. The paratha was oil free and very soft. I had the paratha with omelette. The omelette was freshly made and was very flavoursome due to the addition of onions and green chilli. The bengali tea was a really nice way to end my meal. The tea was made from full fat milk with lots of sugar. All of this cost me under 100TK (£1). Look closely, you'll find a story worth listening to in every hurried yell for a rickshaw, every pacing step trying to beat the traffic, every eager eye looking for a place to relax without having to pay handsome pennies. And like a good thriller story, Dhaka is unpredictable. You never know what you'll find at the next corner. There are no rules in Dhaka. Major mishaps are forgotten at the promise of "cha-cigarette", minor misadventures bear harrowing consequences. Suspense is the essence of this city. One fine morning travelling through the depths of Tejgaon to Farmgate I came across this scene at the Railgate Bus Depot. It reminded me of everything I had done so far, and no matter what, I would find my silver lining someday. I haven’t yet, but I’m still trying everyday. @newtonsarchive came up with this most amazing hashtag. Nominate your friends to do the same with #DhakawithNewtons Come on guys let’s participate in this movement and appreciate our city in all it’s beautiful glory.♥️ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #dhaka #bangladesh #bangladeshi #dhakacity #dhakagraam #photography #dhakagram #bangla #bd #love #bengali #beautifulbangladesh #dhakadiaries #banglagirls #aesthetic #banglaaesthetic #everydaydhaka #banglanature #bengaliaesthetics #bengalithings #bangladeshbookstragram #bookstagrambd #themagicofbookstagram #pinterestworthy #pranershohordhaka

City of stars, are you shining just for me? This is the lakeside place at the dead end of 138 east, and it's the calmest place in the otherwise chaotic Dhaka we know at night, this making it my favorite place. #DhakawithNewtons
