Surprised that I am still sharing with you what to visit in Alanya even though the trip was almost a month ago? Wait until I’ll start telling you about Portugal where I’ve traveled in January… ⠀ Sapadere Kanyonu Is another spot for nature lovers. What could be better on a hot day than to jump into an ice cold waterfall. In fact the water was so cold that muscles start convulsing and one start to clatter with the teeth. Apart from the chain of bridges that will bring you to the waterfall itself I really suggest to explore a hiking route in the area. To access it in the clever way once you purchase an entrance ticket do not go straight to the turnstile but turn right facing them and go straight through a terrace until you’ll see a fence that will be kindly asking you not to enter unless you have a ticket. ⠀ Then just follow the trail to the top of the mountain where you’ll find an observation deck with a stunning view over the valley. As a bonus you have chance to meet turtles along the way. We saw four of them. Found a stairway from the cliff down to the water with a dock big enough for one boat. Local captains took turn picking up stray tourists and showing them the sea caves under the cliffs. This wouldn’t be possible with a big tour boat. Some of the places he brought us into were extremely tight and with the waves starting up it was challenging to get out of at least one of them. What to do when you cannot choose between B&W and color photos? Correct - post both! ⠀ But jokes aside what a beautiful nature there is around Alanya. One hour by car one way or half an hour another way the scenery changes dramatically but one thing stays the same - the nature in the region is absolutely stunning. ⠀ Today I want to share with you some pictures from the Green Canyon, a beautiful water reservoir surrounded by mountains and kept in place by the dam. Definitely would recommend to give it a visit if you are in Antalya region. The hiking there is a bit challenging at least from the side that we’ve entered as you have to follow the dusty roads and breathe in the sand each time a car or a bus pass by. However, you can enjoy the reservoir boat tour during the pick tourist season or drive by making multiple stops to capture the views. ⠀ We’ve however failed dramatically with the boat adventures as we were visiting before the start of a tourist season and the only option we were offered is to pay 300€ for a private tour. Jutrom sam razmišljao o strahovima. Odakle dolaze, od čega su građeni i šta im je konačan cilj postojanja. A misli su mi polazile od onog uvjerenja da sve u čovjeku ima jasnu svrhu, da ne postoji anomalija niti slučajnost, da mu je sve dato sa nekim zadatkom i da od svega ima da napravi nešto. Šta da napravim od strahova? Da ih redom savladavam do tačke kad ih nema ili s njima živim kao s cimerima i tjeram svoje puteve dok oni gledaju kako da me slome do tačke poniženja? A što sam im se više suprotstavljao, to su u meni bivali jači, što ih više prihvatao i davao im pravo, oni bi polahko popuštali stisak i ja bih uspjevao da tonem u san i spavam dok mi mirni bdiju iznad glave. Jesu li strahovi đavolske prirode? Ili su alat stvaralaštva Boga? Ili su možda ljudska praznina nastala od manjka snage uvjerenja da mu put života ima ishodište i na koncu zagarantovan jedan završetak? Čega se to plašimo u tolikoj mjeri da nam se pomute i srce i razum, pa idemo kroz život u vječitom bjegu od ono što bi moglo a ne mora biti? I kako od dželata koji nas ništi, nekad ipak uspijemo napraviti alat sa kojim stasavamo u bolje insane? Misterij dualnosti čovjekovog bića, u kojem od svega što mu se nudi nekad pravi hajrat, nekad gorak otrov, kroz sve naše živote hoda tankom crtom i naginje sad na jednu, sad na drugu stranu.
