HALLOWEEN DATA OK I’m getting those early bird questions already from you planners out there. So here are my charts from 2017, 2018, 2019, & 2021. Prices, dates when tickets went on sale, and party dates. Disneyland has been ramping up the amount of days they have sold for years now with 2021 having the most at 25. I’m curious if they’ll increase them this year too…🤔 2019 & 2021 were Oogie Boogie Bash branded and inside DCA. The previous years it was branded as Mickey’s Halloween Party and inside Disneyland Park. 2021 saw NO discounts and NO parking included with tickets. The tickets also do not include park hopping but you do still get that early bird 3 hour mix-in time before the actual party start time. RAY BRADBURY HALLOWEEN TREE The tree was dedicated in 2007 to Ray Bradbury and his book The Halloween Tree (which is a great read btw🖤). He was able to enjoy it every year until his death in 2012. Dragged this out of the catacombs of GothicRosie's Data...figured it was time to resurrect it for all those planners out there like me. It was sad to put in all those empty markers for the past year but it's super nice to actually have something solid to put in now. This actually went back as far as 2016 😳but I felt we would be fine to start at 2018🤓. ▶️ They usually hold on to the Thanksgiving dining information until the last minute🤷🏻♀️. ▶️ I've heard that the choirs are practicing but I have no solid word on whether or not the Candlelight Processional will happen this year. It's usually on the first weekend of December so I put a placeholder for that in the chart. ▶️ We usually don't hear about the Christmas Parade filming until we are nearly upon those days but when I see it I'll update and post about it. 🎃 I'm still trying to think up a contest for the 2019 XL Oogie Boogie Bash Spirit Jersey I have 🤔I'll also include the maps from that season and the OBB party map too. Halloween may be ending tonight😢 but the Plaza de Familia and Coco Celebration continues in DCA through November 3rd. So even though the fabulous Halloween pumpkin and decorations in Disneyland and DCA will leave us tonight after Disneyland closes, the celebration continues in Paradise Gardens in DCA. OOGIE BOOGIE BASH: Heads up! Word is tonight's party will be very busy so plan for the crowds. Remember, you can enter the park through the Grand Californian Hotel entrance from 2pm to 6pm. Then that entrance closes to all. The IN-PARK CHECK IN is at the Blue Sky Cellar next to the Wine Country Trattoria (map 1st image). So if the check in at the main entrance gate is ridiculous, head there. They have added a second parade and changed show times a bit and I've updated my main update page, last image, with that data in red.🖤🖤🖤If it be candy you are in the mood for (treat trails listed on 3rd image), bring an empty backpack (or two) and get a locker. That way you can drop off candy (which is heavy) as you go through the night. Just remember to pick it up before you leave. Check out the included character list (3rd image) for your top choices and focus on those lines. The character lines get long so you will NOT be able to see everyone. If you want to see the Villains grove sacrifice one of the parade showings and go there. That line gets long but it moves. Also, there are NO FastPasses for ANYTHING including WOC Villainous. There are 2 of those shows tonight. OOGIE BOOGIE BASH: First off, yes I loved it and no I did not see everything. We had dinner at Ralph Brennan’s at 6pm and once done we decided to head to the VILLAINS GROVE first. Once we started heading in to go to the Grove we came across the Maleficent immersive treat trail and she was fabulous! I had to hang around and enjoy her for a little while but then I became absolutely enthralled with the Villains Grove. It was amazing. Take your time and look everywhere. This is NOT a treat trail and there are NO characters. It is an experience. In each themed area there are animations projected everywhere. Physical props and music/sounds. Even scents. I so wanted to go back in but there was a huge line by the time we were done. I highly recommend heading there as everyone is ready to watch the parade and you don't mind skipping it at about 8:10pm-ish. There was no line to get in when we got there and the CMs have a nice system down for making sure those of us with wheels take the pathways I had mentioned a few days ago. We then headed to watch the WOC VILLAINOUS show. The hour spent inside the Grove killed my legs since I was standing still in many spots just taking it all in. Luckily I found a spot to sit, so the boys went down into the WOC viewing area and my girlfriend and I watched the show from my seat. We loved the show. It was cute and fun. I was so fried from the walking but I still wanted to go see OOGIE! So we marched all the way over to the Animation building to check him out, no line by the time we got there. His costume is AMAZING! I LOVED IT! Honestly, if I could I would go back for another visit to see the grove again and then the other immersive treat trails. We didn’t even get to walk through Cars Land and check out their great decorations so we’ll have to schedule an evening trip to see that before it goes away for the holidays. My legs just didn’t like me very much but I still had a great time. Oh yeah, we totally forgot to go to the AP Corner to get the special Oogie Boogie Bash AP magnets!!! 🤦🏻♀️ Thankfully my friend said she has one she can give me but can you believe it?! I forgot! 🤣Oh well. We did manage to get some candy though.😁🖤

WHEELS AND THE VILLAINS GROVE AT OOGIE BOOGIE BASH: I was informed last week that there isn't a straight path for those of us with wheels that we can take to experience the Grove the same as others. After careful review of a few videos (I have never been inside the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail😱yet) I see a way for us to see everything but in a different order than everyone else. The path for the experience takes you through the trail into the center lower level, that level is mostly accessed through stairs in the direction they set up for this experience. 🖤🖤🖤 I recommend heading to that lower level FIRST through the ADA bridge you encounter after the Big Sur tree. That lower level has the Dr. Facilier and Scar experiences. Then when done with that level, exit back the way you came then go left to continue down the path with everyone else. Next up is Frolo (Bell), Maleficent, Cheshire & the Queen of Hearts. After you are done with the Queen of Hearts you leave the group again to take the ADA bridge to cross past the Ranger Headquarters. You meet back up with everyone and then head toward the Evil Queen and finally head toward the Wisp Tree and then the exit. 🖤🖤🖤 I've provided the Villains Grove map and the regular Redwood Creek Challenge Trail map marked up with the adjusted wheel route. The area will be very dark but there are Cast Members sprinkled throughout the path. Be sure to ask for directions if you get lost within the darkness. VILLAINS GROVE AT OOGIE BOOGIE BASH: I've heard a variety of responses to the brand new experience at the Oogie Boogie Bash. One was sad there were no characters. Another said it was "just lights"...but Disney created more than that and you really do need to just stop and look around at everything👀. This artist worked on that experience and created these little "Wisps". I can't wait for Sunday's party where I'll get to look around and find her wisps. Thank you @jessicacalabroart 🖤. "Animating the Wisps: If you've been to villains grove there are thousands of wisp all along the trail. Among the them are a few wisps sequences I animated. I animated the wisp playing games: tag, hide and seek, follow the leader ect. You can find them throughout the grove but the very end at, the will of the wisp tree, you can spot them! I managed to capture a few on video. HEADS UP: PARADE PACKAGE FIASCO ⬜️⬜️⬜️ I just found out that Wine Country Trattoria has only 100 chairs available, yes chairs. The call center was NOT made aware of this limitation. The package wasn't clearly advertised like the Carthay Paint the Night package where you KNEW you had a guaranteed spot in an actual chair and those spaces were limited. ⬜️⬜️⬜️ So what does this mean? It means if you made a reservation for this package between the available times 3 to 4:50pm your spot is NOT guaranteed and you MUST RUN to the restaurant at 3pm and ask for the package on your day. Otherwise they may run out in LESS THAN 1 HOUR like they did today!!! Many people were turned away this evening. I can't tell you how upset I am to find out these packages were not set up like ANY OTHER dining package they have sold before. The Cast Member preview released the detail pages of the guidebook for the party and there are a total of 10 Treat Trails (the 11th is the AP one). Five Treat Trails are regular and five are immersive. The immersive trails are amazing! 🖤🖤🖤 ‼️Last bit of advice is, once you check in and get the map, stop and look through it. Make a plan of attack. The character meet and greet lines can get long so pick which one you want to see the most and go there first. There is a LOT to see at this party and you may not be able to see it all. The parade route at DCA is wider and has more spaces to watch from. They finally updated the entertainment calendar with the shows for the parties and it looks like we have 2 Villainous shows and only one parade for each night. If you are an AP (or have a regular ticket) and will be in the park before the Mix-in time there will be an inside the park check in location set up. I don't have that information yet but when I get it I'll post it. Check in for the parade dining package can be done 15 minutes before your reservation time. Be sure to ask for the parade package upon check in. I'm sure I missed something so feel free to ask me any questions on this. That's all folks!!! No more Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets! Disneyland announced at the beginning that there will be no tickets sold the day of and that once they are sold out online, ALL LOCATIONS ARE SOLD OUT. That means none at the call center, ticket booths, or hotels. If you are looking for tickets, be careful, Disneyland actively seeks sellers of these tickets on social media and has been known to cancel tickets and APs of those caught. I will not allow for ISO or sale offers on my pages because of this and you'll be hard pressed to find a group that will allow it as well. These sell out every year so always plan ahead and get them early. We are going on September 29th and I can't wait! I'm especially keen on checking out the Villains Grove.
