Well! This past week a few of us went to NYC to support our very own Lex Madden as she faced off with six of the country’s best bartenders in the second annual Cardenxe Sotol cocktail competition! Despite Lex completely crushing every aspect of the cocktail challenge, we didn’t win first prize in the end; but truly the victory was being invited to compete with such interesting and talented professionals, and we had an absolute blast along the way. Now, as an American, I don’t quite have a category for Polish Biszkoptowy. Is it an omelette or is it a sponge cake? Biszkoptowy is made with just two ingredients: eggs and flour.
