Nonii! Tästä sit asiaa 👊🏻🔥 Sama hevonen eri kilpailut. Padmé oli super herkkä hevonen ja jännittyi todella helposti varsinkin vieraissa paikoissa. Jännittyessään se rullas aina kaulansa luotiviivan taakse ja tuli todella vahvaksi ohjalle. Se oli sen tapa toimia jännittävissä tilanteissa. Kuten arvata saattaa musta tuli myös vahva kädestä noissa tilanteissa mikä mielestäni oli ihan sallittua ja täysin luonnollinen reaktio. Voin kertoo ettei paljon tehnyt mieli antaa ohjaa näissä hetkissä kun alla oli dynamiittia,joka räjähtää minä hetkenä hyvänsä. Monissa kisoissa otettiinkin lähtöjä täyteen laukkaan kun pakoreaktio iski. Siitä aina rauhoitin tilanteen ja jatkettiin rataa. Ei sen suurempaa draamaa kun itse pysyi rauhallisena. Radat vein loppuun. Annoin hevosen oikoa yms. En pakottanut sitä sinne kulmaa mitä se pelkäsi. Ei välttiis ollu kauneimpia noi meidän alkuajan radat (kuva2). Mutta... Olisko mun pitäny jättää menemättä? Ite vastaan että ei. Kun katot (kuva1) hevosta. Näyttääks se olevan paniikissa? Vaikka ite sanonkin en tie voiko hevonen rennommin ja kauniimmin liikkua kun tässä kuvassa ja tällä koko radalla. Ja voittokin sieltä napsahti! 🫶🏻 Tähän tulokseen me päästiin kun vaan käytiin siel kisoissa. Kotona tehtiin paljon töitä ja siedätettiin hevosta pelottaviin ääniin ja asioihin. Kotona se suurin työ tehdään ei kisaradalla. Lopulta se kotona oleva rentous löysi tiensä myös meidän radoille. Eikä se olis ikinä sinne löytänyt jos en olis sielä kisoissa käynyt. Mun mielestä eläimiä täytyy joskus viedä epämukavuusalueelleen. Ollaanhan me ihmisetkin monesti sielä? Hevonen myös oppii siitä. Toki rajansa on kaikella joitain asioita ei ole fiksu tehdä koskaan ja joitain asioita on fiksu joskus jättää tekemättä. Mutta ihan tervettä tosiaan vierailla myös sielä epämukavuusalueella. this is an extremely bittersweet post as we have decided to retire the Wonder Pony from eventing. We discovered a bone cyst in his stifle last fall and we’ve been treating it but it doesn’t make sense to me to continue pushing him if he is not always comfortable. these past 5 years have been nothing but endless laughs, challenging days, and a lot of tears, but i wouldn’t trade it for the world. auggie came from a camp in Wisconsin barely knowing how to jump and our journey is something that i will cherish for forever. we have achieved things that i never thought were even possible with him like finishing 4th at our first novice, completing our first three day, and of course finishing 8th at the American Eventing Championships. i will forever miss galloping around cross country with you decked out in purple and yelling “good boy” at you after every single jump. ᴅᴇ ʟ’ɪᴍᴘᴏʀᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴅᴇs ﹡ᴘᴀᴜsᴇs﹡ L’année dernière à cette période, on avait complètement arrêté le TAP avec Wouter (& d’ailleurs fortement réduit la fréquence des balades également). À cette période, je préférais largement sortir NessQuick… et pourquoi ? Parce que l’hiver était déjà difficile, que tout a empiré quand on s’est inscrit à Equifeel partage et que Wouter a complètement vrillé dès le premier exercice de déplacements latéraux. Les cabrés, les morsures (dont mon arcade sourcilière explosée - je suis retombée sur les photos aujourd’hui par hasard 🤭). Le résultat ? J’avais peur de mon cheval et j’ai juste préféré tout arrêter. Un an plus tard, Wouter va beaucoup mieux et je me suis dis sur un coup de tête qu’on pourrait réessayer tous les exos qu’on avait juste laissé en plan. Et bien, avec le temps, il a super bien intégré les exos sur lesquels on n’avait pas avancé (comme les DL mais aussi l’aspiration des hanches). First comp show spam ! Still riding on a high after the weekend 😆 I had so many comments on my outfit from @crhclothing ! The riding top is my absolute fave ! Super comfortable and breathable Donny was just glowing ! He was prepped on @axlr8equine , we are obsessed with these products and the results they give ! & as always he was shampooed and conditioned in @equacareaustralia products with an added shine from their coat conditioner ! 🧡 Cowboy Update 🧡 Cowboy has been in his retirement home for a year now, and boy has he changed. I'm not knocking racing, but horses that race don't tend to have a very 'natural' upbringing. Cowboy was imported from the US as a yearling, and went straight into racing yards in Ireland to start training. He then made his way to the UK. By 7 he was retired from racing, and by 10 retired completely from ridden work. His little body really quite broken. He's not had tack on for about 18 months, and has completely 'let down'. His eyes are bright, his coat gleams, he has friends and has learnt about living in a heard. He's even just had the dentist with no sedation, which was a huge no no before. I was really worried about how he'd take retirement, but I'm so happy I've been able to give him this.
