Vas-y, prends ça en pleine tronche ! 🍹👱♀️🚮 Puis un lundi soir à la séance de 22h00, une journée près avant le diagnostic de ma dépression, j'ai vu "The Canyons", réalisé par Paul Schrader, ladite Lohan en tête d’affiche, et j'aurais voulu me cacher sous mon siège tellement j'étais désolé. Déjà le film est génial, superbement réalisé, et la nana est renversante de maturité et de sincérité en personnage de comédienne perdue, harcelée, consumée par ses désillusions hollywoodiennes et des relations amoureuses toxiques. Avec son corps atypique, détraqué, presque encombrant, sa peau pâle criblée de taches de rousseur, sa voix défoncée, son regard tourmenté, son allure surannée par ses frasques du passé, elle joue comme si sa vie en dépendait en reprenant l’idée des mots de Schrader à son sujet. Et ça, moi j’adore ! Au bout d’un monde lessivé, blasé, avoir des personnes encore touchées par ce qu’elles font c’est une bouffée d’oxygène, une lumière revigorante. 🎞️👱♀️😳 J'étais scotché à l'écran, agrafé au fauteuil, le cœur épinglé, tout ce qu'on veut en faveur de la rouquine, prêt à lui remettre l'Oscar de la meilleure actrice lors de ma cérémonie virtuelle. Son dialogue sur la terrasse d'un café face à Amanda Brooks, où elle lui demande si elle aime vraiment le cinéma, a un truc Bette-Davisien (cf. "All About Eve"). Un génie trouvé à la fin ! Littéralement, le phénix qui renait de ses cendres. En douleur, pénibilité, pas de la même façon que le commun des mortels, mais qui y arrive quand même par quelques battements d'ailes qui dépassent la grâce. Suddenly, Somali pirates race toward the vessel, climb aboard and take everyone hostage. The captain of the ship, Richard Phillips, looks to protect his crew from the hostile invaders, and their leader, Muse. The pirates are after millions of dollars, and Phillips must use his wits to make sure everyone survives and returns home safely. “I’m the captain now” is one of my new favorite movie lines. It’s simply iconic to me now. Barkhad Abdi is such an under appreciated actor, although this is the only film I’ve seen him in. He did such a menacing job, just incredible. He was definitely my favorite actor of the movie, even though Tom Hanks is my all time favorite actor. Speaking of Tom Hanks, he also did a great job in this movie and I thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Super convincing and very well done. The fact that this is a true story is kind of a scary thing for me. How would you react if your ship was attacked suddenly and you had to protect not only yourself but also your crew and are responsible for everything? It’s a difficult situation for sure. Adding on to that, I loved how suspenseful this movie was. The crew really did a good job with making you always feel on edge and sometimes left in the dark. It made the experience so real - like you were actually there on the ship. The scene where the pirates attack the ship is done really well. The onset fear, followed by the adrenaline rush. The camera shots are perfect and the music just adds to the suspense. The whole scene is amazing visually as well. The ending packed a more emotional punch for me. It really dived deep into the trauma part of what the crew of the Alabama went through throughout their ordeal. They were obviously traumatized and very scared. The movie didn’t hesitate to show anything because the crew wanted to make the movie as real as possible and as true as possible to the real story. I can always appreciate a movie that stays true to the story it’s based off of.

#CaptainPhillips Wertung 100% Als ich für ein betriebliches Projekt in Viersen warten musste, nutze ich die Zeit in einem Einkaufszentrum. Hier kaufte ich zwei #Blurays. Eine davon war dieser Actionthriller. Capt. #RichardPhillips ( #TomHanks) ist ein routinierter Kapitän der Handelsmarine. Selbst beim Piratenangriff, angeführt von #AbduwaliMuse ( #BarkhadAbdi), bleibt #Phillips ( #Hanks) relativ ruhig. Dennoch brodelt es gewaltig und wenn man weiß, dass es sich um biografische Ereignisse dreht, dann brodelt es noch mehr. Ein bis in die letzten Wellen spannender und zum Schluss hoch emotionaler #Film. Und die armen Menschen in Somalia erhalten einfach keine andere Möglichkeit. Da ist zu viel kaputt. Ich habe Captain Phillips (2013) 10/10 bewertet.

On April 8, 2009, four Somali pirates hijacked the container ship MV Maersk Alabama and took its captain, Richard Phillips, hostage. This harrowing three-day ordeal was later dramatized in the 2013 film "Captain Phillips" — but not everything happened quite as it was portrayed in the movie. Phillips' crew alleged that he had carelessly sailed the ship into an area known for pirate attacks despite their repeated warnings that it wasn't safe. One crew member even created a chart detailing every ship in the region that had been attacked, when it happened, and how much ransom the pirates demanded, yet Phillips ignored all of it. What's more, the film features a famous scene in which a heroic Captain Phillips, played by Tom Hanks, tells the hijackers, "If you're gonna shoot somebody, shoot me!" However, crew members said that this moment simply never happened.
