Adoption Story Part 1! Ahhh!!! It's so hard to believe that we've had one whole week to love on this cutie! I thought it'd be a good time to start his story! Many of you know the struggles that Pat and I had after our ectopic at getting pregnant. Not only the physical issues but the mental drain it took! When we decided to adopt I never expected it would lead us on this journey! We chose to do an open adoption because we wanted the biological family to be involved! We've always looked at it as becoming family and let me tell you.... That's exactly what it has been!!! On January 14th, I was in a session with a good friend treating a kiddo when my phone started ringing. Mind you Pat and I have been keeping our phones close for over two years in case we got a call. So I excused myself quickly to take the call... And I don't think I'll ever forget the words "Hey Katie, I have some good news. You and Patrick have been selected for an in person potential match meeting"! SERIOUSLY 😳 ?? I just burst into tears and immediately called Pat! After what had been one of the worst weeks in our home (thanks to pipes bursting 😭🤣 and creating the "great flood") we had the best news of 2024 yet to come! I can't tell you the joy and hope that phone call brought me! Or the amount of tears I shed that day... Or the happiness I felt from my co-workers, family and friends! I also remember coming home and how excited to see both Pat and I so excited that we were going to meet to potentially match and start our family!!! Idag har jeg afleveret bøger til Christianshavns Bogfestival og på vej hjem gik Jan og jeg ned ad Amagergade for blot at være nostalgisk og sikke en trafik der er på den lille gade hvor den famøse Huset på Christianshavn blev indspille. For nogle uger sidden hørte jeg podcasten omkring adoption og mad. Den har sat nogle ting igang hos mig og jeg har fundet ud af at jeg er ikke særlig god til at spiser. Jeg går gerne sulten rundt og spiser hellere et stykke chokolade og drikker sodavand. Jeg er heller ikke godt til at spise i selvskab så tit der mister jeg appetitten. Det er ikke så godt og jeg har faktisk hellere ikke lært at spise hvad min krop egentlig har brug for. Så lige nu opdager jeg hvad min mave godt kan lide samt jeg også skal have healing på maven og tarmsystemet.
