Чи люблю я святкувати День народження? А як же:) Адже це приємно - увага, подарунки, чи не так? Хоча, деякі люди цей день взагалі не святкують з релігійних чи інших міркувань. А от у Короля Нідерландів такого вибору, святкувати чи ні, немає. Адже його День народження - це загальнонаціональне свято. А негласний дрес-код у цей день - обов'язковою щось помаранчеве/оранжеве. Ця традиція, святкувати уродини Короля/Королеви всенародно, сягає багатьох віків. Сама династія "Помаранчевих", тобто Ораньє-Нассау, нині правлячих монархів Нідерландів, теж має багатовічну історію. Окрім загальнаціонального вихідного дня, традиції вдягатися у щось помаранчеве і веселитися всю ніч і день, є ще традиція продавати на вулицях все, що непотрібно самим. Торгують на саморобних вуличних лотках або ж просто із якогось простирадла на землі. Адже в цей день всім бажаючим дозволено торгувати на вулиці, і ще при цьому - абсолютно вільно від податків. Тому цей день чекають і готуються до нього заздалегідь. У кожного жителя Нідерландів є можливість перетрусити свої домашні "скарби" і позбутися всього непотрібу, та ще й трохи підзаробити. Весь крам люди намагаються оцінювати недорого, і інколи, справді можна купити щось досить пристойне за невеличкі гроші на таких вуличних розпродажах. Ось так, кожен рік, починаючи з 2013 - року коронації короля Віллема-Олександра, в Нідерландах святкують його День народження саме 27 квітня. Кожного року майже всі виходять на вулиці в чомусь помаранчевому. Різнокольорові базарчики зазивають перехожих, лунає музика, смачно пахне вуличною їжею. А сам король святкує свій День народження кожного року в іншому місті по всій країні. Таким чином, королівська сім'я має можливість відвідати різні міста, познайомитися з ними поближче. Цього року в День Короля мені довелося працювати цілий день, бо маю робочі зміни. І все ж таки, це був гарний привід, щоб додати трохи кольору у свій день! Як вам така традиція? Finally, after all those rainy days, there was time to take a good photo among the tulips yesterday. Finding a good field was quite a challenge because it was either very busy or there were no longer any blooming tulips.
