Little Big News! I will be a full-time missionary for the next two years with FOCUS - Fellowship of Catholic University Students !! I will be walking along with college students into deeper love and truth for Christ! These past couple of years have been years of discernment, and falling in love with Christ and His Church. Through Our Blessed Mother’s heart she has called me to be obedient out of love to her Son. She wants me to assist her into bringing her Son’s love to souls and like the prodigal son, come back home. I said yes to FOCUS because their mission is to know Christ Jesus and fulfill His Great Commission. The love, the reverence, the vocations! I’m so excited to announce that for the next two years I have accepted a position to serve as a full time missionary with FOCUS - the Fellowship of Catholic University Students! - through these past few years I have come to know our Lord more deeply through the Eucharist. I *never* liked the color pink. Then the Lord gave me four daughters, and now I will happily wear pink and gleefully walk around in pink flowers (obviously). Hi, I'm Amanda, mother of four daughters on earth (plus a little one in Heaven we never knew the gender of), and wife of nearly (?!?!) ten years. I'm a former youth minister, turned director of religious education, turned SAHM, turned missionary wife, turned small business owner. Never in a million years did I imagine that I'd (1) ever love pink (2) have four daughters (3) be the wife of a full-time missionary (4) move so often (5) own my own business (6) get to live in South Carolina (7) homeschool our kids (8) drive a mini-van or (9) be a soccer mom (seriously, I'm the loud one on the sidelines and I have no shame about it). But that is life with Christ - an epic adventure you never saw coming, but then you wake up one day and think, "thanks for driving Lord, this is way better than everything I had planned. I sure hope you are making me a Saint in the midst of this!" Day 9 Diary - it’s pretty amazing what can happen in 9 days! Precious moments in the morning to spend intentional time with God…feeling like I’ve reconnected on a whole new level.
