Whatcha Watchin Wednesday! 🎥 On Wednesday's, I talk Disney movies as I try to accomplish my goal of 100 Disney movies by January 2024 in my way to celebrate Disney's 100th year Anniversary! 23/100 - Toy Story 3, Toy Story 4, Lightyear, Ratatouille Being sick really helped me catch up on some Disney movies for my challenge!! I finished off the Toy Story movies. I forgot how much I enjoy the 4th movie. I love that Forky constantly tries to go back into the garbage can 🤣 I had always meant to watch Lightyear when it came out and just never got around to it. Thought it would be a good idea to watch it right after all the Toy Story movies. But honestly, it fell a little flat for me. And I think because I had just watched all the Toy Stories I might catch some easter eggs, but I didn't feel like there was any connection at all, which was a little disappointing for me. Whatcha Watchin Wednesday! 🎥 On Wednesday's, I talk Disney movies as I try to accomplish my goal of 100 Disney movies by January 2024 in my way to celebrate Disney's 100th year Anniversary! 14/100 - Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book First off, I have actually never seen either of these original animated films. Second, both are quite aged. Alice in Wonderland was originally released in 1951 and The Jungle Book in 1967. Both were pretty good. It is a little harder for me to get through some of the older original Disney movies, but what I liked about both of these is they had different plots than most of your typical Disney Princess movies, so it was refreshing to just watch something a little more unique. Now, am I rushing to see either again? Probably not! But both were a good watch for me! What have you been watching lately? It is summer time and Ohio doesn't get much sun in the year, so I am taking full advantage of being outside as much as possible!!! I did watch Avatar: The Way of Water. I have mixed feelings about this movie. Don't get me wrong, the visual effects are breathtaking. And the plot was pretty good. But to be honest, I had forgotten what had happened in the first Avatar movie (13 years ago!) so anytime anything was referenced to it, I was a bit confused what was going on. This week was much better than last week. Monsters Inc. and Monsters University - I forgot how great Monsters, Inc. is! It is so funny and the plot is just creative and keeps your attention. I had never seen Monsters University before, so I went for it. If you know me really well, you know I love Home Alone 2 more than Home Alone, but mainly because I like how the writers play off of the first movie. It was the same thing here. I really didn't have high hopes for Monsters University, but I LOVED it!! What a cute and hilarious movie that showed us how Mike and Sulley met. The Little Mermaid - Disney Classic. Probably not my favorite classic, but always a great watch for me! I just love the music in this one! I watched this in hopes to go see the new live version, but didn't make it there quite yet. But now, I am totally ready to meet Powerline Max in the parks! Lilo & Stitch - I honestly watched this because I was missing Hawaii!! I don't think I have ever seen it before. I loved it!! I thought the story line was really good and kept my attention. I'm not going to lie, when I saw it was 2.5 hours, I feared I might start to fall asleep in the theater! 🤣 But it was so good! Earlier this week I watched Hercules. I'll be honest, if I have seen this, it has been a VERY long time. I wanted to watch it because I absolutely adore the soundtrack to this movie.
