I was called a bone dr and a skeletal specialist this year, and I love it!! . . We do bone, muscle, and nerve trivia, we talk about the parts of the spine, we talk about how the brain controls all the functions of the body, we talk about what causes our nervous system to not function well, we play a game where we go over those things that cause subluxations , then chiropractic care comes in and fixes those subluxations, we talk about posture, and then we go over lots of questions. . . Nervous System ROADMAP 🧠 I was sitting outside writing this blog recently (while my husband was attacking all the carpenter bees outside 🙄 with our kids’ orby guns 😑) and I was telling him all about this blog. That it’s all about understanding the spinal nerve chart. How the nervous system controls all the functions of the body. How subluxations can disrupt the brain/body and body/brain connection. . But I was having a hard time coming up with what to title it. Spinal Nerve Chart seemed too boring. And he came up with the NERVOUS SYSTEM ROADMAP 😘 . the purpose of a roadmap is to visualize how you plan to meet your objectives. We have a roadmap of the nervous system, and it shows what nerves control what parts of the body. And so we can see that if we have nerve inference in certain areas, we follow the roadmap to see potentially where the issue is coming from. How is your nervous system functioning? This is something we assess at the office during a new patient exam and at a re-exam. Here’s a little patient testimonial and a look into what care looks like at Sunrise 🌅 check out the initial exam scans on the top and bottom left and the re-exam on the top and bottom right - after 2 months of care. This sweet young lady came in with extreme mid and low back pain after a playground injury. She could not stand up straight, PT wasn’t successful, X-rays were negative for spinal trauma, yet she was still in pain - she was subluxated. After 11 adjustments, she was back to playing on the playground, was able to lay on the table with no pain, had improved lumbar and thoracic spinal motion, and from the scans - we see that her nervous system was functioning better 🙌 We do a thermal scan (on all ages) and a sEMG scan (on specific ages) at the initial exam using the Insight technology. We assess autonomic nervous system function (blood vessel, glands, organs) with the thermal scan, and we assess the motor aspect of the nervous system (posture, tightness, spasm) with the sEMG. This coupled with the entire exam gives a good idea of how your body is adapting (or not adapting) to the stressors placed upon it. We do individualized care plans, get you adjusted, and then do re-exams to ensure that not only are you feeling better, but your body is functioning better ❤️❤️ . . I want you to feel better, but I really want you to function better.
