Jau vakarėja ir visai nusikalęs, bet sveikas bei gyvas atvykstu iki turistų labai pamėgtos Ta Prohm šventyklos. Ją išpopuliarino ne apsireiškęs Jėzus ar Buda, o blogiausias ever filmas „Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” su Anželina Žūli. Keista, kad į šventyklas į kurias atstatant buvo sudėta daugiausiai darbo, dabar apaugę žolėmis, o štai, prie sugriuvusios šventyklos, kur kažkokia pūstalūpė prieš beveik 20 metų pavizgino uodegą prieš kamerą, kad nusifotkint iki šiol stovi eilės turistų. Na, taip į akmens sienas įaugusios milžiniškos medžių šaknys atrodo įspūdingai, bet media beprotybės liga vis tiek baisesnė. Man atrodo, jei daug visur visiems rodysi vieną ir tą patį paprastą medį sakydamas, kad jis gražus ir neįtikėtinas, žmonės tuo patikės ir pradės prie jo fotkintis. Arba jei dar per televizorių parodysi ir tą patį pasakysi, tai tada išsivystys legenda, pasaka, interpretacijos ir viskas, šakės medeliui. Saulei nusileidus pasigaunu tuk-tuką ir suderiu, kad už 5-kis dolerius mane parveš į miestą. Važiuojam miškais ir laukais, motoriukas burzgia ir migdo. Vėjas kedena plaukus, o vėsus oras gaivina. Važiuojame ilgai, lėtai, bet užtikrintai. Taip galėčiau važiuoti į pasaulio kraštą, ten nuvažiavęs atsisėsti ir tabaluoti kojomis po tamsią erdvę žvejojant žvaigždes bekraščiame danguje… o jei dar kas nors šalia atsisėstų ir būtų galima apsikabint… ech…. Miestelyje pigiame lauko restorane suvalgau vakarienę. Nei skanu, nei neskanu. Vos tik patraukiu link savo svečių namų, prisikabina lipšnus dylioras su tipiniais klausimais: „shrooms? weed? hashish?” Atsisakau, bet savęs nepažįstu. Juk jei kas nors, ko nors būtų taip gatvėje pasiūlęs prieš 10 metų, turbūt į namus gyvas nebūčiau grįžęs, o dabar ramiai atsisakau. Kas tai? Senatvė ar tusovčiko menopauzė? Elephants are so fascinating 🐘 these ones was at Kulen elephant sanctuary and were used to bring people to Angor Wat temples until 2019. Now they are taken care of up in the mountains. [ENG below] Kambodża. Nie zaprzyjazniliśmy się z nią od pierwszego dnia. Skradała nasze serce powoli. Chociaż spędziliśmy w niej tylko 10 dni, to być może kiedyś jeszcze wrócimy. Kraj skrywa w sobie niesamowite miejsca, które trzeba zobaczyć (m.in. Angkor Wat, Tuol Sleng, Pola Śmierci, wiele świątyń). Czuliśmy się tu bardzo bezpiecznie. Spotkaliśmy na swojej drodze cudownych, pomocnych ludzi. Z wieloma lubiliśmy się targować o ceny, zwłaszcza, że tylko dla turystów były zawyżane. Najbardziej podobało nam się w Siem Reap. To miasteczko z wieloma tanimi knajpkami, gdzie można było zjeść obiad za dolara. Ponadto było blisko do sklepów oraz centrum miasta. Panowała tam też przyjazna atmosfera. Na ulicach spotykaliśmy się z życzliwością oraz przyjaznym przyjęciem. Dużo dzieci machało do nas i ludzie nas zagadywali. Sporo osób mówiło też po angielsku. Gdy nie było wspólnego języka, z pomocą przychodził translator. Słaby był w tym kraju mimo wysokiej ceny tylko internet 🙂 Odwiedźcie ten kraj koniecznie, zanim stanie się przepełniony turystami w każdym miejscu, nawet tym mało turystycznym. Nam coraz mniej podobają się atrakcje typowo turystyczne, ale odwiedzamy je, ponieważ warto zobaczyć dane miejsce. Masy turystów niestety psują wyjątkowość miejsc. How did it all begin? 9 years ago I went to Cambodia to get to know this place from the north to the south. I rented a bike there to explore nearby villages. It was pure magic to see the world from the perspective of a bicycle. Moving slowly, sun on my face, fabulous landcapes. I came back and bought a cheap bike in my hometown.
