Kol išlendu iš miegmaišio olando jau nė kvapo nelikę, o švedas jau pakuojasi palapinę. Vakar beveik visą dieną švietė saulė, o šiandien visas dangus apsiniaukęs ir kartais vis palyja. Koks oras, tokia ir nuotaika. Einu visa pikta ir susiraukusi. Tik pliusas tas, kad šitaip daug greičiau einasi! Išsitraukiu nuotaikai pasikelti iš kuprinės Jakvike pirktų guminukų. Maža to, kad jau taip nuotaika šūdina, tai dar ir guminukai baisiai neskanūs. Kažkokių gėlių kvapo ir atrodo, kad kvepalus valgytum... Šiandien daug tako per miškus, upes ir palei ežerus, bet kai saulės nėra viskas atrodo kažkaip labai niūriai. Pakeliui sutinku į pietus (priešinga kryptimi) einantį žygeivį. Jis pasiguodžia plonu miegmaišiu ir šaltomis naktimis, aš pasiguodžiu plyšti pradėjusiais batais, pasijuokiame iš kvepalų skonio guminukų, aptariame nuolat šlapias kojas ir šiek tiek geresne nuotaika nužygiuoju tolyn. Nors šiandien nueita dar tik 20km, bet randu neblogą vietą palapinei - ant upės šlaito. Dar patikrinu ar šlaitas ne per daug status nusileisti iki vandens ir pradedu kurtis nakčiai. Kadangi beveik visą dieną nėra telefono ryšio, per GPS išsiunčiu namiškiams žinutę, kad man viskas gerai ir jau statau palapinę. Eiti šiandien daugiau kilometrų nebėra prasmės, nes iki ežero liko ~25km, todėl rytoj persikelti per jį vis tiek nebespėsiu. I can now rest easy, knowing that I fit into Mao's idea of a real man. However, witnessing this spectacular monument with my own eyes also reminded me of its dark and bloody history. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of laborers like convicts and peasants lost their lives over the centuries during its construction. The working conditions were notoriously terrible, and common causes of death were accidents, exhaustion, and malnutrition. Today, the restored sections of the Wall stand as popular tourist attractions, attracting millions of visitors annually. Badaling, the section I got to visit, receives more than seventy thousand visitors a day during peak season. Future Goals right here!! One day, I will make sure our future home is built with the same jungle atmosphere and vibe. When your clear on things that you want out of life and a certain lifestyle you want to live, you have to figure out a way of making it happen besides just saying you want it. A goal without a plan is nothing more than a dream! Before I started my business online, the lifestyle and future I wanted to be able to live was nothing more than a dream and would have probably stayed a dream as I had no plan on how to get there. What I'm trying to say is that no goal is out of reach if you want it bad enough and are prepared to do what it takes to get there, and remember most things don't happen overnight, it will take time and commitment. Yes, there has been great times and I have achieved things I thought I couldn't have before... But there have also been times I have felt like pulling out my hair, giving up and just settling, but by doing that I would be giving up on what I want out of life. And that is not an option!!! Get super clear on what you want and plan out exactly how to get there. Jour 153 a 155 🇨🇳 Hong Kong et ses alentours - Durant notre séjour à Hong Kong, nous avons dédié une journée à la visite de l’île « Peng chau Island ». L’île de Peng Chau est une île de l’archipel de Hong Kong. Sa population est de 6357 habitants. La population de l’île compte de nombreux pêcheurs. Elle offre la vision de d’une communauté côtière traditionnelle. Les rues y sont étroites et les boutiques de petites tailles. Il n’y a pas de voitures sur Peng Chau, seulement quelques véhicules destinés aux services de secours et d’urgence. Les habitants s’y déplacent à bicyclette. - Nous avons également visité « Lantau Island », île sur laquelle vit notre hôte. C’est la plus grande île de Hong Kong, et se situe au sud-ouest du continent. L’île de Lantau n’était pas forcément au programme mais nous avions entendu parler de Tai O, un petit village de pêcheur et de l’ascension vers le grand Buddha (tout en bronze et 24 mètres de haut !).
