Although all the photos were not taken on the same day, they belong to the same species: Harmonia axyridis (Asian Lady Beetle). No egg pictures, I know. I keep looking for them 🔎. The pupae are usually attached to a leaf. The larvae are long, and you can see them moving and feeding. Inside the pupa, the insect undergoes the metamorphosis, becoming the ladybug as we know it.🌿 🐞Las larvas y las pupas de las mariquitas no se parecen a los lindos adultos que todos conocemos. There's an image going around showing the differences between the Asian Lady Beetle and a Ladybug. We did some investigating, and although it is informative it's not quite accurate. Both insects have their benefit, because they both eat garden pests, but the Asian Beetle specifically saves crops from invasive aphid species in monoculture fields where Ladybugs don't go. Strawberries 🍓 The thing I love most about everbearing strawberries: the best fruit comes the first year, a few months after they are planted.
