Kunstner Helle Binding har i samarbejde med Tønder Kulturskole lavet et projekt, hvor skoleklasser arbejder med temaet Fred udtrykt visuelt i keramiske mosaikker. Børn fra skoler i Toftlund, Süder Lügum og Niebøl har deltaget i workshops med Helle. Alle de fine mosaikker er nu monteret på to store engle, som Helle Binding har udformet. Herefter er de blevet glaseret af Helle, og nu skal de tørre nogle måneder før Tommerup Keramiske Værksted brænder de to store skulpturer. Billederne her er taget af Tommerup Keramiske Værksted. It's time again for an update of my Ecto 1. Unfortunately the roof rack had to be completely reworked again. I closed the frame that would be visible later and moved the siren and the Federal 19 Propello Ray back a little. I also made a new platform out of thin sheet metal and closed the holes from the screws and filled them with putty. I'm excited to see what it looks like when it's painted. See you soon. Udsmykningen skal skabe forbindelse mellem det gamle og det nye hospital, og kan med sine strålende farver skabe en følelse af imødekommenhed. De første fliser er omhyggeligt muret på plads. Kunstværket forventes at stå færdigt i 2026 _ Mette Winckelmann blev i 2019 vinder af en konkurrence om at stå for det centrale kunstprojekt i forbindelse med byggeriet af fremtidens Sjællands Universitetshospital. Vinderen blev udpeget af et kunstråd bestående af repræsentanter fra ledelse, patienter og medarbejdere samt kunstfaglige rådgivere fra bl.a. IN SITU og Statens Kunstfond Billedtekster: Model af den første kunstvæg Murer Jan Stig-pedersen fra Karl A. Hansen i gang med den første kunstvæg.
