Then stood for the next 3 hours from a start of 14° to dropping down to -2°. It was great family time, but disappointed that packers just could not show up as a team as 79,000+ fans stood behind (literally) them. No passing game, no running game, no defense, no offense, mistakes, blocked field goal (really), blocked punt (are you kidding). I guess with it being 3 years today since I finished chemo for stage 2b cervical cancer, why not take the opportunity to just remind you ladies to make sure you’re up to date with your smear tests . . . Plus I love this poster, straight to the point, no messing about 🤣🤣 Have the conversation today, ask 1 female in your life if they are up to date with their smear, it may save their life. I don’t take this for granted; being able to be home + work from home. But, in the last year it’s been more essential than ever. A friend of mine was transparent and vulnerable this morning in sharing with her community her MH journey and it encouraged me to do the same. Because, maybe just maybe someday can relate or can feel safe enough to talk to someone, anyone ♡︎ *I am a safe space for anyone who needs one. I can hold space for you even while I’m working through my own things. I can also just provide you with resources* I’ve been having regular follow-ups with my doctor since my surgery and at my last one in February I shared on my e-check in questionnaire that my MH wasn’t the greatest. She provided a referral and I saw my Psychiatrist for the first time in the beginning of March. I have ADHD. I was diagnosed as a child, medicated through high-school, and then self-managed through college and the years since. I did just fine. But, the culmination of everything that 2020 brought included a realization for myself that I needed medication management, again, and after trial + error we have found the right dose for me and I am feeling much better. The referral to my Psychiatrist resulted in a referral to a trauma therapist. I’ve been through therapy and had started EMDR back in Hawaii but since we moved back to the mainland I hadn’t sought out follow-on care....and then 2020 happened. 2020 sucked for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. I’ve heard the adage “same boat, different storm” but quite honestly I felt like I went through 2020 on an inner tube and it seemed from (my perspective) others were sailing through on yachts. Point is, we all weren’t in the same boat and it’s quite possible that the storm of 2020 brought about (or out) more than you imagined. It did for me. I’ve been back in trauma therapy and re-started EMDR. Last week, I was prescribed a very low dose of anxiety medication as I’ve gotten to a point in therapy where brain pathways are being opened back up and unearthing all that + then processing it alone during the following week is really #bleeping hard. *continued in comments* *swipe to see mid-action Kiki shot*
