I made it up north but I had a really close call with pack rat damage again. There is an area underneath my van by my gas tank that has electrical wires that communicates to my van to give me fuel and once again a pack rat chewed that area. Last year at this time it happened to me a few weeks before we were trying to leave and I got broke down and had to be towed out. Some sensor wires got chewed back in 2022. Needless to say I was in shocked when it happened once again and was a third time but second time to the same exact area that happened last year. This time my travel friend looked in the area I had trouble before and found the chewed wires. He was able fix it because he is very knowledgeable about wiring but he did have some trouble getting to that area because of very little room. I had my prayer warrior friends praying so hard for me as this situation was happening and he dug deep and kept trying and was able to fix it. It honestly wasn't an easy job to do and he able was going to give up so I am so thankful to him and to God for the knowledge that he has and the termination to keep trying. 💖🙏🤗👍 We made it successfully up north but have been recuperating. We had so much going on with that issue, trying to get to town to pick up my last supplies I ordered and leave before the next increase in weather temperatures so it did leave me very tired for a few days. I am so happy to be back in one of my favorite areas up north and to be around trees again for shade if I did ever need it which brings an incredibly amount of peace for me and to be near my favorite mechanic if anything else was to show up that the pack rat could have caused but so far everything is still looking okay with my van. I will be more proactive with my defense against the rodents because we also did find a nest in my engine but thank God no wires chewed in there. Adam got a free yoga class last week while installing an 800W solar system in our client's @newmarcorporation Bay Star! Whoa! Snow! In the end of April?! We were not prepared for this! Especially the ten mile muddy dirt road we had to drive up yesterday to get to our campground in Willow Creek, Nevada! Everything was covered in sludgy mud when we finally reached our campsite! We were able to rinse off enough of the mud to unhitch and unclog a bit… only to discover that the wheel hub dust cap had come loose - meaning the tire had to be removed to fix it! These are the days I am especially grateful to be married to an ace mechanic! - But worth it to get here for this beautiful spot - so isolated in the mountains above the Valley floor. When the sun finally came out today revealing gorgeous views of the snow covered mountains in the distance, the memories of muddy yesterday all faded away! #airstreamadventures #campinglife #adventurecamping #muddyroads #boondockinglife

What a nice Coastline😍What we have seen from the Coast of Peru is unfortunately nothing nice😒The Nationalpark of Paracas although was great to spend some Days cruising around and looking for isolated Boondocks🌊⛺️You can drive endlessly through the Dunes, watch Flamingos and breathtaking Sunsets. Oops, I got caught in a heatwave as I was trying to finish getting all my supplies and my friend was trying to get something repaired before heading north. I am hopeful to be heading north asap during our next cooldown weather window. Right now my electronics have been way to hot to use and I only have a small window when it is cool enough to charge and use them. I will have to try to return again sometime next week after I move. A huge part of vanlife adventures is accepting what we cannot change. . Boondocking can be hit or miss. Sometimes you get an awesome spot, sometimes you get an ok spot, and sometimes there are no spots! After a busy day in Phoenix getting new tires and stocking up on supplies, we pushed on north. Rather than risk a high elevation spot near the Mogollon Rim, we opted for Barnhardt Rd in Tonto NF just south of Payson. This turned out to be neither a hit or miss … it was just ok. There are only about 4 sites here that could accommodate a big rig and they were all filled when we got there. We ended up parking near the entrance and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It wasn’t the prettiest but it was the easiest especially with the brief afternoon storms that kept things a little damp further in. The campsites are compact clay so being damp wasn’t the most pleasant. But where we were, there was gravel down and we were dry. Besides we were in the mountains surrounded by lush greenery. A perfect little week boondocking in Moab. We parked in the same area as our last Moab visit in 2021, which was the last time we dry camped with our fifth wheel. Our previous trip was great, but it came with a lot of stressors, which is ultimately why we decided to retire the fifth wheel from travel. Returning with our @ember.rv and a better setup was so wonderful, comfortable, and easy. Navigating the bumpy roads with ease, staying cozy on chilly nights, working with seamless internet, cooking & living pretty much as usual, but off grid, was magical! Campsites like this are exactly why we chose an Overland travel trailer.
