“A Drought” ————————— Oftentimes, writing is not what it seems, It’s not always a cascade of stories and dreams On occasion, it hesitates, exhales a slow sigh And waits for the poet to draw from the sky A drop of rainy wisdom on a cloudy day Or pen songs that azaleas cannot convey.
