I’ve been reading this history of the Chelsea Hotel. The building started life as an apartment building. When it became a residential hotel, it became famous for the huge number of famous people who stayed there for long or short stints or passed through its doors regularly. Arthur Miller. Bob Dylan. Dylan Thomas. Andy Warhol. Patti Smith. Janis Joplin. The list goes on and on. It’s led me down a bit of a rabbit hole digging further into some of the names and works I’ve heard about, but didn’t know much about. Now I’ve got some reading to do!
