There's a whole module on Boundaries in my upcoming Women's Empowerment Self Care Course. It's the one thing that comes up the most with all of my 1-1 counselling/therapy clients. None of us were taught appropriate boundaries as children, myself included. It's been a lifetime of work learning about them and how to put them respectively in place. This is how I'm able to teach it now. It wasn't something we were taught in our training as therapists. There's an assumption that it's something that everyone knows but this is the one thing that I see most people struggle with especially women because we were raised to be "good girls" and "people pleasers" and to have no boundaries was the accepted norm. Learning the correct use of boundaries has really empowered me and changed my life. This is why I love teaching it so it can empower others too. Where do you struggle with boundaries?

I have some spaces left in my upcoming 8 week Women's Self Care/Empowerment Course starting this Thursday (2nd May). I've run this course multiple times through the women's shed, Mna Ag Gaire in Ennis and each time it was a huge success. I've attached some feedback from past participants. This course isn't any ordinary Self Care course. It's an empowering course. It goes deep and if you engage with the material it will be life changing. We will cover many topics including raising your self esteem, boundaries, recovering from abusive patterns, health, wellness, getting your needs met, balancing relationships, overcoming the past and living the life you want. This course begins on Thursday 2nd May 7-9pm and lasts for 8 weeks. It is held in Quin Community Centre in Quin Village (just 6 miles from Ennis). The cost is €111. It came to my attention recently that many people don't realise what I do. So here it is. I trained in transpersonal psychotherapy just over 20 years ago. This model includes regular talk therapy but also goes way deeper. It includes the work of Stan Grof where we access altered states of consciousness for deeper levels of healing, embodiment and integration. A lot of my work includes talk therapy. I enjoy helping people figure our answers to their day to day issues. I also offer the option of accessing deeper healing through going back to the events of the past to release the emotions that were trapped there at the time. I do this by putting the brain into theta waves (a relaxed but awake state) through a drum beat. This deep healing is one of the methods I use to help trauma release. The client controls how deep they wish to go. It's important to me that I create a safe space for them to heal and integrate the healing into their life. Any questions?

Last month we attended @irishrestawards in Killarney to celebrate what the hard working hospitality sector in Munster has to offer. It was great to see regional as well as local businesses scoop up awards for their dedicated effort throughout the year and have our beautiful Banner County represented by such talented and driven individuals. 💛💙 We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that we've been nominated for the new category of 'Food Truck of the Year' at the Finals in May, which, after quite a strenuous few months, is such welcoming news! 🥳 Unfortunately we can't make the ceremony due to work and family commitments. Even though there's only a slight chance of us picking up the award, to be nominated is such an honour in itself. We represent the locally owned, small family run business and it is so, so important to support these ventures if and when you can. 🤗 We are fully backing the #vat9 movement in getting the VAT rate back down to 9% to enable hospitality businesses to remain open.
