#bicycling Last October I went to Orlando and brought my green bike with me to go riding with Ally and Mike. That's when I discovered the tube of my tire was ruined. It's taken me this long to take the bike to the shop to get the tube replaced and get a tuneup. Part of the reason is because I have my other bike so I wasn't in any rush. But the seat of my red bike was starting to fall apart and although I bought a replacement, I just could not get the old bike seat off. So it was a good opportunity to take both bikes this morning to a shop right off of Centre Street. Since I took the effort to put the rack on the car, I thought it was a good reason to go to the Amelia Island Trail tonight and test out my new tire tube. 😁 I've never ridden this path at dusk so I didn't think to expect the bunnies. But the real problem was the kamikaze squirrels running from the berm, across the trail, to trees, right in front of my bike tire!! Having more energy currency allows adipose tissue to initiate the process of muscle protein synthesis in a maximized state. When in an energy deficit and quite lean, lacking energy currency, the body resorts to breaking down protein within the muscle to fuel MPS and recovery. As much as we push gaining muscle and losing fat simultaneously, it’s better focused upon individually despite the circumstantial premise of it.

Maybe it’s a relationship that needs tending, but it requires work, and work is hard, it’s uncomfortable, and so we are avoiding it. But then we complain that the relationship is suffering. . I could think of a dozen other types of work that needs to be done, emotional, physical, financial, stress management, etc. We say we need self care and to love ourselves but doing the work is the greater demonstration of self care you could possibly do. . January ➡️ April Training hadn’t changed much, food was more relaxed in April compared to January. The changes I can see - 💪🏼 Reduction in hip fat retention 💪🏼 Reduced cellulite on the arms (though this is more likely to be the result of different lighting) 💪🏼 Face looks less round in April, a result of fat loss under the chin 💪🏼 Reduced bicep size (Januarys photo was taken on arm day, April was after a session on the stairmaster) When comparing photos, it’s important to note what might be affecting the changes- not everything is as simple as fat loss. These two photos are taken in different rooms so the lighting is different, the time of day is different so varying degrees of what I’ve eaten will be different, the training on the day will impact the appearance, etc. As a general rule though, I do encourage my clients to take photos- we see each other every day so to see changes is not going to happen. Looking back on how far you’ve come is a motivation in itself! • I’m a specialist female trainer - specialising in pre and post natal, female hormone condition such as endometriosis and PCOS and I’m studying to be an exercise physiologist. I’ve been not HELLA pressed about making sure I lose weight super fast, but I HAVE been pressed about getting a barn door back. I NEVER skip back day, and it’s my main focus other than squats. I have been working my ASS off to make TWO muscle groups bigger: my quads and my back, and I am FINALLY seeing some gains poke thru. I am proud man. Trust the process.
