La prima incarnazione di Penthouse Comics vide la luce nei primi anni '90, si trattava di un'antologica sorella del noto magazine per adulti che pubblicava fumetti di vario genere, sempre ovviamente pensati per un pubblico maturo. Inizialmente fu un discreto successo tanto che quel materiale fu tradotto e pubblicato in vari paesi, Italia compresa, la testata però ebbe vita breve e vari dissidi interni insieme al calo delle vendite ne decretarono la chiusura dopo appena due anni. Sembrava un discorso morto e sepolto ma la Behemoth comics ha deciso di acquistare il marchio e resuscitare il progetto, a sorpresa quindi Penthouse comics è sbarcata nel nuovo millennio con contenuti tutti nuovi ma fedele nello spirito e negli intenti alla sua tradizione. Lanciare un prodotto simile di questi tempi è davvero un azzardo ma devo dare atto agli autori di aver fatto un ottimo lavoro, al netto di un paio di articoli e qualche foto osé di cui non sentivo il bisogno ho trovato la parte fumettistica di tutto rispetto, si tratta di quattro storie in cui l'erotismo è ben presente ma non è mai troppo sopra le righe o fine a se stesso, il comparto grafico poi è molto buono quindi non posso che promuovere questa prima uscita. Contrer le blues du dimanche soir avec Batou ! Étant une inconditionnelle de Batman la série animée qui passait dans les années 90 sur la chaîne France 3, ce comics allait forcément finir dans ma bibliothèque ! Batman & Robin Aventures, série terminée en trois volumes, reprend les mêmes codes graphiques que le dessin animé : esthétisme des lieux, même mise en couleur, représentation fidèle des personnages et de leurs traits de caractère/façon de parler,ton incisif des dialogues, etc. Le graphisme magnifique et le découpage des planches ont en plus un côté très cinématographique ! Ce tome 1 reprend les magazines Batman & Robin adventures publiées chez DC Comics de novembre 1995 à septembre 1996. J'ai apprécié qu'Urban insère les couvertures d'origine ainsi qu'une fiche de présentation du personnage clef avant chacune des 10 histoires. L'uomo che ride non è mai uguale in nessuna vignetta, i personaggi risultano storti e inespressivi e gli ambienti sono dozzinali. La veste grafica non è adatta per il tipo di storia, o per quanto io possa capirne (poco) credo sia uno stile per pochi appassionati.

Petit bémol, il faut avouer qu'après 7 tomes l'univers créé ne s’est pas plus étoffé dans la série principale. Aucune grande révélation dans cette fin de cycle, je comprends facilement que cette album ait pu décevoir. Mais tout de même, à mon goût la lecture est toujours aussi agréable et passionnante . Graphiquement, le style bien particulier de la série fonctionne toujours aussi bien, avec une légère évolution du physique de certains personnages . Personnellement, cela ne dérange en rien la lecture. Will they... or won't they? 🌸🌸 This volume contained so many will they won't they moments I got dizzy. It also tackled some tropes of the genre in ways that I wouldn't think possible. Maison Ikkoku's not-love story between Godai and Kyoko is still raging on, but I am beginning to wonder... how can this possibly go on for another 6 3-in-1 volumes? It's a breeze to read and I am very attached to the various tenants of Maison Ikkoku, but I feel like I need something to big to happen to keep me going in this read-through... Also, I know it's almost 40 years old at this point, but the last chapter of this volume icked me out. Some Japanese tropes just don't translate or age well... 📚🕶 Review Comic de Vacances 🕶📚 THE WEATHERMAN Tome 1 : j'étais totalement passé à côté lors de sa première sortie et il a fallu l'opération Urban Indies à 10€ pour que je me penche dessus. Je me suis donc lancé sans rien connaître à l'histoire et en trouvant cette "variant cover" super moche par rapport à la "cover normale"... mais y'en faut plus pour m'arrêter 😁. Pour le coup cela a été une excellente surprise. J'ai vraiment accroché sur ce scénario assez original avec ce "héros" qui pourrait être bien le grand méchant de l'histoire sans le savoir !!! En effet, ses souvenirs et sa personnalité ayant été effacés, peut-on lui en vouloir d'être responsable de la mort de 8 millards d'individus (même si y'avait probablement 50% qui le meritait... voir 70%... 😅) ? Un récit très rythmé, avec beaucoup d'action certifiée "hémoglobine maximum", qui n'épargnera personne, même pas les fans de 30millions d'amis. Un dessin au top comme tu peux le constater en faisant défiler ces photos prises sur cette soyeuse herbe verte de Bretagne... les vacances me manquent déjà 🥹. Bref pour ce prix là te pose pas de question et fonce tu vas passer un très bon moment 😉. Jest to nie tylko ostatni tom serii Wattersa, ale również epilog do dziejów Lucyfera. Dawny władca piekieł postanawia raz na zawsze zniknąć z kart historii, podejmując przy tym drastyczne kroki. Lucyfer wprowadza plan, który zaskakuje swoją wielowymiarowością. Na kartach komiksu czułem wagę boskiego konfliktu jak nigdy dotąd, dzięki konkretnemu ukazaniu konsekwencji jego decyzji - od wpływu na ziemskie realia aż po niebiańskie struktury. Postaci znane z "Sandman" wplecione są w narrację w sposób, który podkreśla ich kluczowe znaczenie, a emocjonalne dialogi na każdym kroku świadczą o przemyślanych zmianach wprowadzanych przez scenarzystę. Komiks oferuje sporo treści o charakterze horroru. Główna fabuła jest przepleciona retrospekcjami w formie osobnych rozdziałów, które odkrywają początki relacji Lucyfera z nowymi postaciami, mającymi kluczowe znaczenie dla obecnej akcji. Mais son arrivée à Metropolis provoque la jalousie du machiavélique magnat, Lex Luthor ! Mon avis: Une bonne réécriture des origines de l’homme d’acier. J’aime bien le fait qu’on nous montre beaucoup la partie à Smallville et toute la jeunesse de Clark boulversée par ses nouveaux pouvoirs. L’entrée de Superman en tant que super héros est hyper crédible et vachement bien amenée. Même si pour moi For all seasons est meilleur, cet ouvrage est vraiment sympa aussi et c’est très bien qu’il ne se complique pas à la manière de Morison dans Genese. On retrouve les classique de l’univers superman que ce soit personnages, villes ou même relations et c’est ça qui fait en partie le charme de ce comics. Les dessins: Gary Frank est un monstre incontestable. Même si c’est pas forcément ma came de dessins favorites il faut avouer qu’il a une maîtrise parfaite de son trait, de ses perspectives et des émotions qu’il transmet à travers les postures et les visages. On a aussi des pleines pages absolument géniales et je dois dire que la couverture me plaît beaucoup aussi.
