On our last visit to Disneyland, we went to the Blue Bayou! It was so yummy. I got the Monte Cristo, it’s so good with the fruit preserves. It also came with potato chips and a salad. The chips were yummy with the Cajun dipping sauce. We made reservations as soon as they opened up booking window, this seemed to be the key because our last couple trips, I hadn’t been able to get us a reservation. The ambiance is so calming and we loved watching the boats go by as they started their sailing on Pirates of the Caribbean. Latest Tips, News, and Answers to Common Questions BLUE BAYOU: The restaurant opened to walk-ups recently and also began offering Fantasmic Dining Packages to guests. The packages are still NOT available on the website or app but if you dine there you can ask for it. @DisneylandNewsToday reported that reservations for the restaurant will open on June 8th. I have not seen an official source but the restaurant itself could be it. WORLD OF COLOR: This show still does have standby viewing. The best way to find out where to line up for it is to get there a few hours before the show, when they begin to put out the ropes. Ask any one of the show Cast Members for direction. There is also an ADA section that you can ask about as well. FANTASMIC also has an ADA section over by Harbor Galley. MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE SOUVENIRS: The Elliott popcorn bucket and Turtle sipper have been spotted in Tomorrowland and Refreshment corner on Main Street. Did you know that the Blue Bayou offers the 31 Royal Street Signature Julep (the watermelon mint julep) there? Last week I had the privilege of enjoying a meal there while celebrating my friend’s birthday! The food was amazing and the ambience is always incredible. I enjoyed the Petite Filet and Cold Water Lobster Tail which is paired with Country Mashed Potatoes, Heirloom Carrots & Wilted Greens and Charred Onion-Bourbon Demi. If you are trying to snag reservations at this spot make sure you are checking every day multiple times a day.
