Today I went to celebrate my daughters housewarming and birthday. Next week she’s going to Korea for three weeks so she’s not home on her birthday. Now that I’m working so much I really appreciate to spent time with the right people. I value even more the time with my family and friends. I also miss my family in Spain and I’m not sure when I’m able to go and visit them again. So all the working bring some amazing experiences and joy but also have a cost. It’s important to make the right choices so what’s gained from the work is worth the price that’s payed or else it might be a regret later. Does it have great supportive and dedicated co-workers, does it give a good paycheck, is it exiting and makes you happy. If not, no matter what then consider if it’s worth your time. I ditched the☠️dye about two years ago after my body was reacting to EVERYTHING🤪🙃 Since then I’ve cleaned up what I eat & use each day, and have had way less flares than usual #thankgod 🙏 I’m also #down60lbs since I started making changes in September; but the biggest change I’ve noticed is how much✌🏻comes from living with a more laid back approach to my #selfcare routines. I finally realized that #idontcare what I’m supposed to be doing anymore, #healthandhappiness over all the #bullshit we’ve been sold about getting older. I mean are we really supposed to have __________ hair after 40? I mean this is 49, it’s the oldest I’ve ever been, what’s actually wrong with looking like I’m about to be 50? My point is do whatever you’re comfortable with, the years are a privilege that not everyone is given and I’m grateful for all of them! So do what’s right for you and don’t judge others for doing the same, there’s no real rules here only perceptions. Hi Silver Sister Gang 🤩 Long time that i have been here posting Updates. My hair story is a long one. Just like many of you here. I started way back im 2021. Then i did some Highlights what i regretet doing. Then i grew ot out out and out and august 2023 i wanted to strip some of the golden blond out of the lengths with a Product that was suppose to be non abraisive. 8 weeks dye free Only a couple of months ago I was convinced I will dye my hair red until I’m 80 and panicked over every gray hair and new wrinkle. I can’t really tell what changed all of a sudden. Something in me just clicked and I realized that I reached a point in my life where I’m fully embracing the magical process of aging. No need to chase youth and beauty standards anymore. Society needs to develop a more positive mind set when it comes to the aging of women. And only we women can change that. Change is growth and beauty is ever-changing. Tbh, now in my mid 40s, I feel so beautiful and authentic like I never did before in my life, not in my 20s or 30s. I often thought “Okay I still have some good years ahead of me until I enter a room and no-one looks at me anymore.” Absolute Bullshit. Most women say the older they get the more amazing they feel about themselves. So I’m looking forward to the next years and decades. I already really like the cute little winkles around my eyes and the tiny age spots that look like freckles. Every newly grown millimeter of my natural gray hair feels like saying hello to the fantastic woman I am becoming. Chasing youth and the attempt of preserving the appearance of our younger selves is somewhat a privilege of the rich. And having a chronic illness surely doesn’t make me rich. Most of the time I’m glad to be able to buy food and pay rent. Anything on top is luxury. But accepting and loving myself with all my flaws is priceless. We all should be proud of our unique “imperfections”, wrinkles, gray hair and scars. Every scar tells a story. Every wrinkle in our face should remind us of the times we were laughing so hard - celebrating life. So keep ‘em coming. Life is beautiful. And hey we’ve made it that far. We’ve been healthy enough to reach a certain age. It wasn’t that it was a wrong decision, but it was a wrong decision for me. ⁣ ⁣ It wasn’t my gray hair that was the problem; it was what I thought about my gray hair that was. ⁣ ⁣ For me, it came down to stopping and asking myself some questions and challenging my mindsets and preconceptions. Were those ideas really mine? Was I dyeing my hair for reasons that felt true to me? ⁣ ⁣ Each individual may come to a different conclusion, and this page will always be pro-gray but never anti-dye. However, I would encourage everyone to at least ask yourself the questions. I wish I had done that sooner!

Walking on a dream.. a 6 mile long dream in Wales that is.. My #naturalhair has been around! The #silverhair was shinning bright in the sunlight. I love people’s reactions to my #grombre or #greyombre as we call it.. this dual looking hair with multiple tones .. I love my #naturalhair and I’m so glad I decided to embrace my #greyhair 13 months ago! And no I’m not wearing a hat to hide it (any more that is but I definitely did in the beginning of my grow out!) I just like the style Hat, Shoes - @nike Vest - @michaelkors Sunglasses - @dolcegabbana Holyhead Breakwater Lighthouse on one of the most northern points of Wales was established at the end of the 1.7 mile-long breakwater in 1873. The breakwater, the longest in Europe, was built between 1846 and 1873. #silverhairtransition
