Tahukah anda 5 perkara penting berkenaan Kelewatan Perkembangan Bahasa dan Pertuturan: 1) Kemahiran pendengaran perlu diperiksa oleh Pakar Audiologi. Hal ini demikian kerana, masalah pendengaran kanak-kanak boleh menyumbang kepada masalah kelewatan perkembangan bahasa dan pertuturan. 2) Semak khasiat dan zat pemakanan kanak-kanak tersebut. Penerimaan khasiat dan zat yang betul serta mencukupi amat penting dalam membantu perkembangan otak kanak-kanak 3) Pendedahan terhadap Skrin seperti televisyen dan telefon sangat perlu dikurangkan. Pendedahan skrin yang terlalu banyak akan memutikkan pelbagai masalah seperti pengurangan kehendak kanak-kanak untuk berkomunikasi. 4) Interaksi sosial bersama kanak-kanak tersebut perlu dibanyakkan. Interaksi ini akan bantu menambahbaik kemahiran berkomunikasi dua hala dalam kanak-kanak. 5) Pengurangan penggunaan ‘pacifier’ (Puting plastik) seawal mungkin. Pacifier akan menegah kanak-kanak daripada menghasilkan bunyi bermakna, lebih-lebih lagi perkataan awal. Specializing in citizen suit enforcement cases under the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, Sarah advocates for stronger pollution standards, particularly for industries like slaughterhouses and refineries. At EIP, she finds inspiration in the intelligence, curiosity, and thoughtfulness of her colleagues, working together to drive positive change for public health and the environment. Outside the office, Sarah unleashes her creativity through embroidery and other fiber arts, scales new heights by rock climbing, and cherishes moments with her partner and their feline companions, Goose and Freya. Recently, Sarah celebrated a significant victory for downstream communities as EPA began taking steps to reduce harmful water pollution from slaughterhouses, because of legal action taken by EIP and partners. Her journey at EIP has not only contributed to legal accomplishments but also boosted her confidence in her legal practice. Stimming, short for self-stimulatory behaviour, refers to repetitive movements, sounds, or actions that individuals engage in to regulate their sensory experiences or manage their emotions. This is especially common in children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Stimming behaviours can vary widely in form and intensity and may include actions such as hand-flapping, rocking back and forth, spinning in circles, tapping objects, or making vocal sounds like humming or repeating words. In the infographic above, we've listed 5 common types of stimming and their respective examples. Stimming serves various purposes for autistic individuals, including: 1. Stimming can help regulate sensory experiences by either seeking sensory input (e.g., spinning to feel dizzy) or avoiding overwhelming sensations (e.g., covering ears in noisy environments) 2. Stimming behaviours may help individuals cope with stress, anxiety, or other intense emotions by providing a repetitive and soothing activity 3. Stimming can be a form of self-expression or communication, allowing individuals to express their feelings or needs nonverbally 4. Stimming may serve as a calming mechanism, helping individuals feel grounded and more in control of their environment It's essential to understand that stimming is a natural and common behaviour and is not inherently harmful or problematic. However, it's crucial to support autistic individuals by providing them with opportunities for sensory regulation, teaching coping strategies, and promoting acceptance and understanding of stimming behaviours in various social contexts 💙

GROIN FLAP.... Groin flap was first described by McGregor and Jackson as a pedicled skin flap, autonomous vascularization where arteries and veins are close to their origins and termination and was later popularized by Knutson for various hand defects. The groin flap is a vascularized axial flap based on the superficial circumflex iliac artery arising from the femoral artery just below the inguinal ligament. It is used regularly by many reconstructive surgeons for covering soft tissue defects of the hand and forearm where free tissue transfer is not feasible. Besides the advantages of this flap, the major side effect of the groin flap is shoulder stiffness due to the uncomfortable position of the arm for a long time in the postoperative period which can be treated easily with early physiotherapy. A 32 year old male pts comes with RTA with left hand dorsum of hand soft tissue defect with wrist joint capsule exposed with tendon injury EDC (extensor digitorum communis) of index and middle finger with loss of both finger extensions. Center for Climate Integrity’s new report, "The Fraud of Plastic Recycling," accuses the plastics industry of a decades-long campaign “to mislead the public about the viability of plastic recycling," despite knowing the "technical and economic limitations that make plastics unrecyclable" at a large scale. Point Township, a small community in Pennsylvania, recently succeeded in preventing a large recycling facility from being built on the banks of the Susquehanna River. It was one of 34 petrochemical “plastics recycling' plants proposed across the United States.
