What we do isn’t all that complicated. We are just moving away from conventional soil based farming by eradicating inefficient components in the growth cycle of a plant! We use a nutrient rich film of water in long channels to grow plants. The water is continuously pumped in and out thereby forming a closed loop system. The nutrient rich water contains all the nutrients that a plant needs to grow. We also mimic the sun by using advanced LED technology and forming “light recipes” that contain the exact spectrum of light needed by the plants for optimum photosynthesis. We use Artificial Intelligence to automate the input of variables. All this leads to a much nutrient dense plant than traditional soil farming while also saving 90% water and 95% land. We also operate under “Controlled Environment Agriculture” which enables us to control the atmospheric conditions of a plant; namely temperature and relative humidity. By deploying all these technologies in our modular farms we are trying to bring out the best version of the idea of “grow anything, anywhere”. Our plants are more nutrient dense, have zero pesticides; have been growing using sustainable methods and grow bigger and faster. These plants begin their journey in Oasis Grow Cubes. These are pH neutral cubes with capillary capabilities. This allows the plant roots to stay hydrated and recieve the optimum nutrition without stressing the root zone. The last 2 months have been hectic, fuelled by a lot of passion, hard work and copious amounts of coffee! We know it isnt easy launching a new product in the market but MY GOD it was crazy this time for us. From selecting and rejecting multiple packaging boxes (down to the point of selecting how many locks would be in the lid) to changing the sleeve designs every two days; it has been a LOT of work. But if we were asked to do this again; we’de do it in a heartbeat! The final product going out put a wide smile on our faces and knowing the fact that our work would put nutritious chemical free food on someone’s plate makes all the sleepless nights worth it! Harvest day is always fun (and tiring!) for us. We harvest on every Saturday and Monday since we make our deliveries on both these days.
