Cherry the cute one gets into something or the other! Her fear of crackers is legendary, her vanishing acts and mood swings regarding food! This time one morning she suddenly had her full left face and throat swollen. Saurabh checked with Dr Ravi Shedge and he diagnosed it as a honeybee or some other bee sting. He prescribed a 3 day medication course which was given to her through her favourite chicken gravy. She is now totally fine again to give a new scare! As always we urge volunteers to try as much as possible to get the dog/cat checked and treated on location. Animal- human conflict is unfortunately increasing these days. Volunteers across different groups and localities also face a lot of harassment and resistance from local residents. Asha ma'am from Shaswat Foundation explained this problem and genuine concern of feeders to the Veterinary department of Pune Municipal Corporation. PMC officials understood the problem and agreed to Shaswat Foundation's suggestion of installing boards in different locations which clearly state the existing laws and penalties against animal cruelty and feeder harassment. We procured these boards from Shaswat and installed them in strategic places in Pashan where our volunteers have been experiencing harassment from locals. We urge all volunteer groups to do the same. I slutändan riskerar katterna att bli förgiftade eller skadade … näringsidkarna här ska få ihop sitt levebröd under några få månader och de allra flesta matar katterna på ett speciellt ställe efter stängning. Aswin is an explorer who enjoys discovering new places and meeting new people. He travelled with us to Spiti in December 2022 which was a memorable experience for him as he got to experience snow for the first time.❄️ Since then, he has been following our work on Instagram, from organising free dental camps to installing solar water pumps in villages to ensure regular water supply even during winter when water freezes.💫 It was the dog feeding program that truly resonated with him as he is a devoted pet parent and community feeder. The first two pictures are from back in October of Kila’s mom, I found Kila (3rd slide) sick under a bush next door back in August , sheis now with me safe. I try to help as much as I can feed cats down the street. I feel better knowing the owners of the location open Monday -Friday and let the Babies hang out and also feed them dry and wet food. Well this is Kila’s mom I haven’t been seeing her for a few weeks she usually would pass through my apt complex and just stopped coming i feel horrible. She has given birth again. I went to investigate and found out there are 3 moms 3 litters! And 2 months ago a littler died! I would really love to help her, and I will once i have more space or once I get my hands on her. I live in apt complex where I’m only allowed one pet and currently have 3 cats. But I can’t stop thinking about Kila’s mom or Kila’s siblings.
