DM me for Licensing info. -------- "CompleCITY" was one of my biggest creative challenges this year and to date! The first step was constructing each building using a grid structure that creates slices from a cube forming rooms and walls. This "futuristic" city shows a synthesis of color and shape conjoining each building as highways and streets converge within the overall flow and movement and design. My ambition was to represent city life from a birds eye perspective as if we are looking down and witnessing every scene and interaction taking place. I also wanted the construction of the city foundations to represent the dynamic of a chess board and the movements within. I highlighted each chess piece within a section or corner square of the building and city layout. The diagonal movement and geometry creates tension and dynamic movement from the center and corners converging towards the middle and also outward. I also placed various scenes and some of my favorite things to do as well as each building unit having access to a rocket ship ( can you find them?) They are part of the geometric harmony! Excited to drop "PerpleCITY" from my Gypseian Art Collection! This is part of CITY series of works based on art eith city themes created from words ending with "City." - 9 days to complete (about 92 hours) ________ My fascination and love of Legos as a child started my spark for creating. I would spend countless hours building cars, buildings, and various inventive creations. This work channels that inspiration to create a city that has geometric foundations. The solar powered stations are represented as gold balls and the people are silver balls scattered throughout the community.
