To improve the sound in the W123, but still keep the classic style and the ability to listen to music cassettes, I decided on a Becker Grand Prix 2000. This is currently on its way to @hubers_garage to be repaired and fitted with Bluetooth. I was also very lucky to find a couple of original speaker mounts for the rear to retrofit the speakers. But to do this, all the cables had to be pulled through the roof liner from front to back. Desert racer continued......... First photos Baja peninsula... John Saxton (our Landy, note the roof chop) with fellow Brit John Comben. Next, John Comben, Richard Hopkins and John Saxton. Next, John Comben in action. Then continuing with the rebuild...... Repairs to the bulk head. Only the top section was corroded and after 40 years remarkably this was the only part of the body shell that required replacement. We wanted to retain the bulk head, this is heavily modified to allow for the V8’s extra size and is fixed to the chassis by 4 tubes that form the front cage.
