Without stopping every second to look at and ant, wack grass with a stick or one of the other million reasons why we stop. Then there's him asking to be carried, and we'll that's not relaxing he's heavy. So, like I said, it was nice to be out without him. Meant I could walk at a good pace and take in the surroundings. Also, the dogs enjoyed it because they had some of my time and got to meet Hugo and see his mummy again. It did make me realise how much I missed walking and reminded me how good it is for my mind, body, and soul. So many babies struggle with trapped wind, colic or constipation and massaging their abdomen area can really help relieve any pain or discomfort whilst helping aid the digestive system effectively 💩 We improved the babies hip flexibility, talked about developmental leaps and looked at calming techniques for when our babies are overstimulated and clingy, played a game of peek-a-boo using scarves as well as incorporating it into yoga moves. 💙🧡🩵 Baby Development Course 🩵🧡💙 It was week 1 of our Baby Development Course this week and it was so lovely welcoming everyone. This group is a wonderful mix of new families, mummies that have completed our Baby Tranquil course and chosen to carry on their Tots Play journey, a mummy doing a couple of classes with me at the same time and a returning face who previously attended with their first born and want their new addition to have the same Tots Play journey. It was great to have a Daddy join us too ❤️ We took some time to introduce ourselves and learnt about how to read our baby's cues. We gave our babies a leg and arm massage, many of our babies were big fans of the foot massage, and introduced a very simple yoga song that helps massively with co-ordination. I am very excited to spend the next few weeks with these lovely ladies (Dad is hoping to join us for some more sessions too) and their gorgeous babies. 🩵💙 Baby Tranquil 💙🩵 With all the Easter holiday fun I didn't get around to posting these pictures from week 5 of Baby Tranquil. It's such a lovely week to end the course, with lots of reflection and special moments. We focused on the sense of smell and I showed our mummies how they could bring in different smells for their babies using our smell bottles. We used expanding balls for our breathing exercise, which is so engaging for our babies as well as relaxing for us. We got oxytocins flowing during a lovely facial massage for the babies and talked about being kind to ourselves and how it is all too easy to compare ourselves to others without actually seeing the whole picture, with techniques and ways to stop us from letting those negative thoughts take over our mind. It really is such a special course like no other. It was fantastic to see that the ladies arranged to meet up the following week after the course ended and they have all gone on to join my follow on classes so will carry on their Tots Play journeys and build on those friendships. My next Baby Tranquil course starts on Wednesday 5th June and some places have already been taken so don't hesitate to grab your space. Last year my 14 year old dog developed night time excessive flatulence. 🐶 My vet said he could prescribe medication, but it had side affects and suggested I try herbal or homeopathic treatments before resorting to the medication 🌿 I tried one product for 3 weeks and saw no improvement. This is Louie ❤️ Louie and his Mummy Daisy were part of my classes in 2022. He started in my baby class, Discovery Tots and progressed up to my toddler class, Social Tots, once he was on the move. Little did we know that just 7 months after leaving classes, for his Mummy to start a new chapter at uni, he would be fighting for his life. In the summer of 2023 he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Unfortunately treatment isn't working and there's nothing that can be done for him here in the UK. His only chance is to go to America for treatment. His parents have set up a fundraising page in the hope to raise the £200000 funds needed to be able to make this happen. I know many of my past and present families may remember Louie from classes and I'm sure every past, present and future Tots Play families will want to support him whether they knew him or not. This week in class we will be fundraising, with all money going to Louie's cause, however if you don't attend classes you can still help.
