Iβm Rebeccaβ¦ The other half of this podcast duo ππΌββοΈπ ~ I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse back in 2014 and being self employed was never actually on my radar! π©πΌββοΈ ~ I set up a photography page back in 2017 where it was really just a hobby and I was taking pet photos πΆ ~ Iβve been with my husband Jonny for 10 years now, and we got married in 2019β¦ Being introduced to the wedding world was when I had my aha moment and @rebeccacaseyphoto went from pets to weddings! π°ββοΈ ~ We had our first baby in June 2020 (Hello fellow lockdown mamas!) so growing my business was put on hold with maternity leave. However with lockdown hitting at the same time, the 3 month maternity leave I had planned turned into 1 year! π€°πΌ ~ During this year of maternity leave, my creative juices were flowing but with no where to go and I desperately needed a creative outletβ¦ So I started playing around and bought myself a mug making machine! Random I know, but it was my little lockdown hobby between nap times and feeds. This turned into my second business which is now my Etsy shop @rebeccacaseycreations πΈ ~ Iβm a mum of 2 under 2! We had our second baby in March 2022 and I knew then, that as much as I love the veterinary world, I just didnβt want to go back to working full time and being employed on a rota. So my photography business had to go from βside hustleβ to an income to be able to stay at home with them π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ ~ Last year I built my home photography studio so during nursery hours I can still work on my photography business @rebeccacaseystudio πΆπΌ ~ In 2019 I suffered really badly from panic attacks. I went through 9 months of hypnotherapy and Iβve not had a panic attack since. But, throw a household, 2 businesses and 2 babies into the mix, the overwhelm can still quickly build up! So I feel really passionate about taking care of yourself to reduce stress and stop that burnout feelingβ¦ You canβt pour from an empty cup! π§ββοΈ ~ Iβm a huge introvert and a typical homebod! So when weβre not out and about doing all of the family things, youβll always find me cosied up on my sofa with a mug of green tea and dunking a Bourbon biscuit or two! βοΈ
