I’m now heading to the airport, to kill 5 hours before my flight - partly because I’m so very tired and my feet hurt because I wore new Docs today. Rookie error. But partly because I’m just exhausted to my soul. Saying goodbye to my kids is always hard, even though I’m happy to be heading home. But saying goodbye to Kelsey at the train station had me crying harder than I was at the airport this morning. I guess it’s all hitting me hard. I’m looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight, but boy do I miss my kids. They’re pretty amazing people. I love that I get to share this world with them. And I’m so very proud of all of them and the impact they have on the world around them, no matter where they are. #imgoinghome

Looks like someone is being a good girl today! Waiting on lab results, and an ultrasound report, but at least I rocked breakfast for the most part! Liquid diet for the win! I’m so used to that anyway…been doing it for 3 years now. Who needs solid food when you can have a shake or a smoothie? And mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, & squash are my staple foods. A ONCE AÑOS DE LA MUERTE DE ALVIN LEE.. En 1969, el Festival de Woodstock, cambió en cierta manera el panorama musical para siempre. Muchas bandas y artistas noveles en aquellos días tuvieron la chance en aquellos tres días históricos en todo sentido, desde lo musical, lo artístico y el lo político, ya que estamos hablando quizás del evento más importante de la historia en lo que a festivales de rock se refiere. Una de las bandas que tuvieron su momento consagratorio, fue justamente Ten Years After, quienes el Sábado 18 de Agosto, salieron a escena cerca de las nueve de la noche para hacer un set de escasas cinco canciones, que sin embargo catapultarían a la banda a la consagración mundial gracias a la performance del increíble Alvin Lee, quién gracias a la versión de I`m Going Home, pasó a ser considerado "el guitarrista más rápido del mundo". Súbitamente Ten Years After pasaba de tocar en pequeños clubes de rock y jazz, a girar por el mundo en grandes estadios. En 1973 abandonó a la banda y se dedicó a editar discos en una carrera solista, que no tuvo, a pesar de algunos muy buenos trabajos, la consideración que el mismo Alvin esperaba, a pesar de contar con la colaboración de gente como George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Ronnie Wood y Mick Fleetwood. A finales de los 80, vuelve con Ten Years After para editar dos discos más, y realizar algunas giras. Los 90 lo vuelven a encontrar en solitario, ya sin mayor repercusión a pesar de seguir grabando cosas interesantes. El 6 de Marzo, de 2013, tras una intervención quirúrgica de rutina, y una serie de complicaciones, Alvin Lee falleció en una clínica de la ciudad española de Madrid. Con medio siglo de carrera en sus espaldas, Alvin fue, sin dudas, otra irreparable perdida para el mundo del rock, y en especial para aquellos que hace arte desde las seis cuerdas. Denise and Bradford recently lost their cat. Denise came to the shelter looking for 2 kittens that were siblings. At that time we did not have what she was looking for. We encouraged her to check back with us. A week later she returned with her husband after seinng Frankie, now Lola and Georgie, now Libby on our website. They fell in love with them right away. They are going to be two very loved and spoiled kitties. Another happy beginning.
