And instead of me being able to grab their wrist to start the attack. Conflict - Merch Collection Another one off of the personal bucket list, Gav from the almighty @conflict_officially reached out to me a few weeks ago after seeing some of the work I had been doing with Steve Ignorant from Crass. He wanted me to do something similar for their efforts and it was an absolute honor to be able to make this happen for yet another legendary band within the anarcho punk scene and the foundations of the ALF! We focused on one design this time around that could be translated to shirts, hoodies and tote bags. We went with the busy collage style, and focused on bringing something a bit new to the table for Conflict. If you are familiar with Conflict’s branding through the decades, everything has always been pretty clean and straightforward. For the actual band name, I wanted to use an earlier secondary wordmark that has all been lost to time, but something that I feel has such a strength to it, especially when roughed up a bit. We used their classic military standard stencil type for some of the subtext - BUT also roughed this up and made it quite uneven with some sloppy spray paint direction. I also roughed up their iconic symbol, added some textured gradients, and we even cut it up for the front of the hoodie. All in all, it came together in a really fun way that was a lot rougher and layered than I thought it was going to be, but definitely gives Conflict something fresh to go off of at this point in time! I look forward to partnering with them again in the future! The shirt is available in black and white, and everything else will be done in standard issue punk rock black of course, ha!
