Episode 29 is out ! How to Exercise & Eat For Fat Loss Exercising and eating for fat loss not weight loss, means you are exercising and eating to loose fat, not muscle. Exercising to simply lose weight, may mean you don’t preserve disease fighting, metabolism, bone preserving muscle. You most likely are not only loosing fat, but loosing muscle, water, and some fat. To have this disease fighting, bone preserving, metabolism boosting muscle it take adequate protein, carbs, and fat. Many women really struggle to eat enough protein, and wonder why they can’t tone up (build muscle). Often women fear lifting heavy weights, thinking they may get bulky and manly. The first line of defense is our spiritual and emotional health. Do you constantly feel icky in your body? Do you feel your body is all “wrong” and will never be “right”? Do you live with thoughts that you would finally be happy if your body met the standard you have in your head? These thoughts and cycles of up and down you put yourself through are much more unhealthy than your physical state. They are damaging spiriutally, emotionally and physically. Let’s start with renewing our mind, taking captive any thoughts and strongholds that are not fruitful. “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). It’s the second week of our Power of Prayer series! The book of Acts records the true story of the apostle Peter’s miraculous jail break. Having been put in prison for teaching the good news about Jesus, Peter slept chained between two soldiers and awaited trial the next day. In the meantime, “the church prayed hard to God for him” (Acts 12:5). God answered the prayers of His people for Peter and sent an angel to set him free! Immediately, the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. He put on his clothes and sandals and followed the angel past the guards, out of the prison, and down the street. When Peter showed up at the door where God’s people were gathered praying for him, they didn’t believe at first that it was really Peter! It’s been nearly 2,000 years since that night, and God has not changed. When we pray for others, God hears us! There is something much worse than a fragmented church. It is a Church unified apart from the Messiah. That is the very definition of Hell. The key word in the unity of the faithful is 'FAITHFULNESS' to Christ. It is "in union with the Messiah we comprise one body". Jesus Christ is The Messiah. He is not an abstract thing or form. He is present to us today in these ways: As The Word of God (John 1:1) By The Holy Spirit (John 16:18) To be faithful to these is to be faithful to the Messiah (Christ) - the one anointed with the Holy Spirit. Therefore the key area of concentration for Church unity is each part being devoted to 1. growing in Christ by the Scriptures, 2. growing in our union with his Holy Spirit in prayer and discipleship - i.e., allowing his spirit to lead us. Outside of this primary and increasing union with Jesus the Messiah, there is a very real chance of producing not just a fragmented Church, but an antichrist one. The focus must be on Jesus (by his words and spirit through the Bible) - nothing and no one else. ‐----------------------------------------- "On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." Aprils Blessings 🤍 April was filled with lots of eventful memories! Aubie started Ripple but got sick soon after and is doing better now! TT turned 31 and it was a blessing to celebrate her as she shared the shine with Aubie. Aubie turned 1, had a photoshoot and birthday party. She was surrounded by so much love! She also fully broke into her toddler era with the sass, the tantrums and lots of new words such as “no” and “stop”! lol Lord send help. Son went to his senior prom and the fam took another visit to Hope City! Lots of soccer, Jesus and love to say the least! Not pictured are all the roller coasters of marriage, friendships, being a tired mom, sleepless nights, very little self care, prayers and struggles to pray, Tylenol around the clock for a very painful stomach flu that Aubie caught, work life stressors and many other life things. Life be lifingggg lol yall know that! With the good, comes the struggles but we do our best to keep Jesus close and at the forefront of it all! 🤎 A scripture and theme that was a highlight this month was Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” PRAY that you would have the fear of the Lord in your heart! So I woke up this morning to go to church, but the hubby wasn't feeling well, so we decided to have our usual bible study and morning devotion instead. I was excited to lead bible study today, but I ended up sad before the Bible study even began. It wasn't the hubby that upset me o 😂at least,not today. It was the message in 1 Timothy 6, 6-10 that probed me. You know that guilty feeling you feel when you're in church and the pastor or Reverend is preaching about a particular topic and it's as if he is just trying to use corner corner to make sure you know it's you he is talking about. 😂 The bible passage I read today talks about being content with what you have. You see, you don't need to be Dangote or Oprah to be happy or fulfilled. Now I'm not saying we shouldn't be ambitious, but sometimes we cross the line unknowingly. We find ourselves wanting to have more, and we want that more right now. 🙄We see others doing very well, and we get sad and envious. We accuse ourselves of not putting in those extra hours even though we are completely unaware of how the people we are comparing ourselves with made their money. Maybe God just loves them more. We forget to count our blessings. We forget to thank God for those battles he fought for us while we were asleep, tossing and turning. We forget that some people slept and didn't wake up. Dearly beloved, don't keep God aside in your pursuit of being richer, famous,and whatnot. Success is good and enjoyable, but success, wealth, and fame gotten with Jesus at the centre hits differently. There's this joy and indescribable peace that only Jesus gives. Money can't buy it. Remember that there are times and seasons, and at Gods appointed time, you would BLOW!! Asin, you would blow up like a big balloon,and the good thing about blowing at God's time is that when you blow, nobody can burst you because the hand of God lifted you and not man. In everything we do, let us be content with what the Lord has given us as we trust Him to take us to greater heights for His glory. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus and not on other people's journeys.
