This is the best advice I've ever been given. After going through a traumatic 1st birth experience, EMDR saved me. At first I was skeptical, but this type of therapy helped me heal the trauma that my body was holding on to. After experiencing EMDR over a couple of months, I truly felt like a new person. I didn't realize I was stuck in fight or flight, I didn't understand that my birth was traumatizing to me, I didn't know this is what was making me angry. I learned better ways to manage the stress and figure out what was triggering the fears and anxieties. I was able to find myself again through therapy. I will forever recommend therapy to all of the moms out there. Heal yourself. It simply means that you know longer deny the situation for what it is.
