Dabei wurden verschiedenste Techniken zum Absuchen großer verrauchter Räume trainiert. Das Ziel war, die vermisste Person aufzufinden und anschließend ins Freie zu retten. Vielen Dank an SB Kahofer und FM Krenn für die Ausarbeitung. Mit dieser Übung ist die Feuerwehr Thernberg bestens auf den Ernstfall vorbereitet. +++Truppführerausbildung+++🚒🚒🔥 Am 27. April 2024 traten erstmals 6 Kameraden unserer Feuerwehr zu den Modulprüfungen der Truppführerausbildung im Feuerwehrhaus Langacker/Hütting an. Diese Ausbildung wurde ab 2021 neu eingeführt und ist eine Fortsetzung der Truppmannausbildung (Grundlehrgang), bei der das Wissen vertieft werden soll. Dabei sind verschiedene Module aus den verschiedenen Bereichen des Feuerwehralltages theoretisch als auch praktisch zu absolvieren. Bereits in den Wochen davor wurde gemeinsamen mit den anderen Rieder Feuerwehren fleißig geübt. Das Modul „Technik“ wurde dabei von PFM Verena Fürholzer, OFM Michal Wittibschlager, HFM Johannes Mayrhofer, OFM Lorenz Mayrhofer FM Maximilian Reiter und HBM d. F. Wolfgang Bauer positiv abgeschlossen. Von HFM Johannes Mayrhofer und HBM d. F. Wolfgang Bauer wurden dann auch noch die restlichen noch nicht absolvierten/angerechneten Module wie „Branddienst“, „Kraftbetriebene Geräte“ und „Taktik“ erfolgreich absolviert. Das Taktik-Modul stellt dabei den Abschluss der Ausbildung dar und ermächtigt die Kameraden, weitere Kurse und Lehrgänge im Bezirk oder in der Landesfeuerwehrschule zu besuchen. Heute konnten wir das neue Kleinlöschfahrzeug (KLF) der Löschgruppe Spanbeck offiziell in den Dienst stellen. Ortsbrandmeister Lars Kunze konnte neben vielen Einwohnern, Feuerwehrkameraden und Politikern auch Bürgermeister Thomas Brandes, Ortsbürgermeisterin Ilona Meyer und Gemeindebrandmeister Markus Füllgrabe in Spanbeck begrüßen. Thomas Brandes bedankte sich bei der Wehr für ihr Engagement während der Beschaffung und der Politik, welche hinter jeder Ortsfeuerwehr im Flecken Bovenden stehe! Das neue KLF, mit seinen 500 Liter Wassertank, vier Atemschutzgeräten, Lichtmast, Motorkettensäge u.v.m. ersetzt das 33 Jahre alte Tragkraftspritzenfahrzeug der Löschgruppe. Das 7,2t. Fahrgestell ist ein IVECO DAILY mit 180 PS. Der Aufbau kommt von der Fa. BTG, so Lars Kunze in seiner Fahrzeugvorstellung. Jürgen Kunze (OrtsBM a.D.) überreichte noch ein Schneidbrett und eine Mettwurst, für die etwas längeren Einsätze😉. Das Brett lasse sich gut am hinteren Auszug platzieren, als wenn dieser dafür gemacht wäre, so Kunze. Eine Überraschung ereilte Wolfram Dowe, den Lars Kunze nach 57 aktiven Dienstjahren in die Ehrenabteilung überführte und zum Ehrenmitglied der Feuerwehr ernannte. Many of the Kaimanawa horses that were mustered tomorrow are due to be arriving at their homes today or tomorrow, so we wanted to share what Day 1 and 2 would typically look like! These horses might appear unnaturally quiet on arrival and you might be thinking how lucky you got to have been allocated such a well-minded wild Kaimanawa. In reality, these horses are more likely to be in a deep freeze response, and be mentally shut down after a very tiring and overwhelming two days for them. Most have just been seperated from their families for the first time, then contained in a rattly truck in which cars and trucks speed past the slates in the truck wall at dizzingly speeds. Confined in a small truck bay, with up to four other horses (depending on size and gender), the horse has nothing to fight to escape the situation and nowhere to run to flee the situation. Unable to use its flight or fight instincts, but feeling stressed and unsafe, the horse will generally freeze which is a dissociated response. To not add extra stress to the horse on arrival it’s important you have hay, water, fresh grass and a companion horse already in place BEFORE your wild one arrives. The less interaction you can have with your wild horse for these first 24 hours (apart from ensuring it has constant access to food and water), is ideal to allow it to decompress and recover. At this point your ‘quiet’ wild horse could become quite wild again and will communicate its emotions more authenticity. Ideally we want them to return to the thinking part of their brain before the taming process begins, so they aren’t reacting to things from their flight, fight and freeze instincts. Even once training sessions begin, it’s vital you’re constantly reading your horses body language to ensure the horse is able to learn from a state of relaxation. Down in Waiouru the muster team is waking up and about to head into the Kaimanawa Ranges. The horses will be gathered from the Argo Valley and Zone 20 today, then sorted and trucked tomorrow. Most horses will be delivered to their homes/trainers tomorrow, with those further afield overnighting in satellite yards before reaching their destination on Saturday. It’s always a very tiring and emotional time for those involved, but also a feeling of pride for all the horses saved. This year, more than any other, the horses saved are largely thanks to the public. 🚨 21.04./17:31 Uhr 📟 H: VU - ohne - P 🌏 Lübbenau / Spreewald 📝 Auf der BAB 13 kam es in Höhe des Spreewalddreiecks zu einem Verkehrsunfall. Hier riss bei einem Pferdetransporter der Anhänger ab, welcher dadurch von der Fahrbahn abkam und rechts auf der Wiese zum stehen kam . Glücklicherweise befanden sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt keine Pferde darin. Auch sonst wurde niemand weiters verletzt.
