Late season… the time when bucks are run down, beat up, wounded, been shot at, and hungry. If they survive this long, this time of year is my absolute favorite. Brutal cold and snow will make any whitetail move. When you add the red moon in the mix your in business. It’s proved itself time and time again even if I couldn’t quite seal the deal. (Told from a recent experience) But remember those big mature deer are far from stupid this time of year. Just when you think it’s gonna happen you get your butt kicked again, leaving you wondering if you’ll ever get another opportunity. Most have survived some events throughout the season that only makes them smarter and more wary. Keep grinding folks season isn’t over until it’s over! On another note the deer have completely demolished my plot topper plot and are really starting to hammer my corn field in these cold conditions.
