I did proper patchwork blocks and quilting, using a lovely #madeandmaking pattern. Doesn't do to look too closely, but it was an easier process than I expected, and I got to use lots of fabric scraps. The cat will enjoy sleeping on it.

This year I'm pivoting my life.....thanks to wonderful NHS I have finally recovered from PTSD and am so happy with my life. I'm not making things anymore unless I think they are fun, I've slimmed down my Etsy shop as a result, no more memory quilts and had a physical clearout too! Sewing Retreat. What can be better? A two day sewing binge at a spa hotel with great people to share ideas and skills with. My idea of heaven 😁. This is what you do with your husband’s shirts when you can’t think of anyone else wearing them. I’m not sure if husband will be smiling or rolling his eyes! Smiling, I hope 😁. Took me ages to make and a lot of mistakes but got there in the end. Over 30 shirts were used in the front but just one (central) on the reverse. Could be called a labour of love. I am now moving on sewing wise to run up a couple of summer dresses, and no, I totally don’t need them. I might just save making the best one for Sarah’s fabulous sewing retreat at the end of the month 😉😁 #madeandmaking
