A brief escape from London on a day off to check out the brand new RHS Urban Show (and new neighbouring urban park - the cross river slide was fab!). I loved the heavily industrial venue and the dichotomy between the cavernous old railway arches and plants, though I suspect it may have been rather a shock to some who are used to a more established RHS flower show. It'll be interesting to see how it goes down over the next few days and where it goes next 😁 Urban areas only cover appropriately 1% of liveable land (apparently). Whilst it may not sound like much, there is definitely a need to breathe more nature back into these spaces, for ourselves and nature, especially as 56% of people on earth live in cities (according to the world bank).
