Hey, guys. So I finished watching "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer", and it was pretty good. It is a sequel to the 2005 film Fantastic Four, and is still based on the Fantastic Four comic book. Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis returns as the title characters, with Julian McMahon, Kerry Washington, Andre Braugher, Beau Garrett, Doug Jones and Laurence Fishburne in supporting roles. The plot follows the Fantastic Four, and Doctor Doom as they confront, and later ally with, the Silver Surfer to save Earth from Galactus. Now I know that "Rise of the Silver Surfer" was a box-office disappointment, with a third film was planned but ultimately cancelled, and was still disliked by everyone. But... I still liked this movie. It was actually better than the first film. The action scenes are still good, the visual effects are still decent, the cast are still in top-form. Although, the acting is kind of weak, mainly because of the script is poor. I enjoy the story and the moments with Reed and Sue, where they were planning for their wedding, then the first attempt was a wreak. So Reed and Sue want to go someplace else to get married and raise their family, without Johnny and Ben to live with Reed and Sue, which is heartbroken. But they changed their minds and tell Johnny and Ben that they can now live with them and raise as a whole family. It's a really solid, superhero movie as a slightly improvement over its predecessor. It is a juvenile, and simplistic that has little benefit beyond its special effects. But still, it's a decent guilty pleasure sequel. Thumbs up for me on "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer". Hey, guys. So I just finished watching "Fantastic Four", and it was pretty good. It based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. This time, it's now being released by 20th Century Fox. It was the second live-action Fantastic Four film after the unreleased 1994 film. It stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Julian McMahon, and Kerry Washington. The story follows the origins of the Fantastic Four as they learn to come into terms with their newfound abilities following their exposure to cosmic rays. I liked this movie pretty much. I thought it was mildly enjoyable. The action scenes are good, the visual effects are decent, the music score, along with the 2000 songs are great, and the cast, namely Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are well-cast in their roles and does look the parts, even though the characterizations is very questionable, they're okay. I actually enjoyed their moments, especially Ben Grimm, where they have to find a cure and has to turn back into their normal life. But they finally comes to terms of who they are, who they has to be and becomes superheroes. It's pretty much a good, solid, entertaining, comic book movie. It does had goofy attempts at wit, subpar acting, and bland storytelling, and it is a mediocre attempt to bring Marvel's oldest hero team to the big screen. But it is still a guilty pleasure. Been a while since I watched this #fantastic4 movie and I remember liking it and I still think it’s a good movie. With #chrisevans #jessicaalba #michaelchiklis and #ioangruffudd playing the titular cast they did well in this origin movie. This is strictly an origin movie, very self contained and the villain being very personal to them. Not a lot going on outside just figuring out their powers and taking on the guy that got his powers at the same time. There are several cheesy lines, but they don’t ruin it for me. I’d recommend the movie, very easy to follow along and not a long drawn out story either. The rewatch was nice, so I’d also recommend it if you haven’t watched it in a while.

A routine superhero film that’s not without its entertainment value, the first attempt at the Fantastic Four isn’t half bad. It’s funny, lighthearted, and perfectly passable as an early Marvel movie. It suffers from an underwhelming villain and a dull, rushed climax, but for about two thirds of its runtime it’s a lot more fun than it felt like back in the day when it was freshly released. The cast is fine, for the most part. As said, Julian McMahon is rather bland as the villain, Doctor Doom (even if he is, sadly, the best live-action version of the legendary character we’ve gotten so far… which isn’t saying much). Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman, on the other hand, is a delight. She’s fierce and determined in all the right ways, and while she felt like a footnote about 20 years ago, it’s much easier to appreciate her performance today. Out of the cast, she is easily the highlight, and her Sue Storm might have deserved a better franchise. Alba, as an actor, also deserved better than to be forced to wear blue contact lenses and a blonde wig in a sad attempt at hiding her Mexican heritage. But setting these missteps aside, the first Fantastic Four movie is a whole lot better than its reputation. It’s not an unforgettable piece of superhero cinema but it passes the time when you’re in the mood for something silly that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It may not be top-tier material within its genre, but it most definitely isn’t among the worst of its kind, either. For its era, it’s actually one of the better examples of a superhero movie.
