It’s been a while since I was posting regularly… whoops 😅 However that is partly because I’ve been trying to read a little bit slower. I felt like I was really rushing through books for no good reason, so when I picked up this one I wanted to take my time with it. I’m so glad I did! The Principle of Moments is the first book in a series that’s packed with time travel, prophecies, and dystopian themes, so there’s a lot to take in! I loved the way the story was told partly through archived book chapters and notes — that always makes a book so much more unique and interesting to me. I got attached to the main characters so quickly too. The situation with Asha and her sister was heartbreaking, but the ending of the book at least has me holding out hope that things can be repaired between Obi and George. I can’t wait to see what happens in this series next! With time being frozen and certain characters refusing to comply with the prophecies still, it’s pretty hard to predict what the outcome will be, and I love how many possibilities there are 👀 I highly recommend this book! #bookstagram #books #reading #review #scifi #fantasy

It’s a nice little Rom com, but funnier when you remember or realise it is just a Harry Styles Fanfic. It really is just a bunch of different Rom com tropes shoved into one I guess. Dating someone famous, age gap, keeping it a secret, every Rom com has done those before and this doesn’t add anything to the genre, but it makes for a nice little watch. Is it Anne Hathaway’s best? No. Is it her worst? Again, no. Her performance for what it is, is very good. I don’t know and haven’t seen any of the others in anything else, so I’m not gonna judge their performances. The ending was nice, although it could’ve ended 5 minutes early and it would’ve been a more bittersweet ending than just cutesy. Overall, it’s pretty cute and enjoyable for like a date night watch, but there are better Rom coms and better Anne Hathaway Rom coms too. O quinto álbum de estudio da banda nós traz uma crítica ao consumismo e a "americanização" da Inglaterra, o título pode ser traduzido de duas formas, "vendendo a Inglaterra pela libra" e "vendendo a Inglaterra pelo peso". Como toda boa banda deste gênero, o disco traz faixas mais longa de quase 10 minutos, e outras mais curtas entre 3 e 4. Golden by Shannon Mayer ⭐️⭐️💫 🌶 This started out fun but quickly took a nose dive. The whole book was utterly absurd and a mess. At first, I loved the strong FMC, the setting and characters that were introduced. I loved the FMC being a shifter and an alpha. Sadly, the FMC turned into a constant damsel in distress. Granted, she did manage to rescue herself every time, but the constant bad luck and getting stuck in sticky situations was exhausting and boring. I felt the golden retriever curse stuck around too long. It got old and made the FMC lose sight of herself. She's supposed to be strong and independent and instead, because of the curse, takes on golden retriever mannerisms. This is where it started to lose me because, yes, she's cursed to be a golden retriever, but she loses all of her own personality in favor of a golden's personality? Really? Also, the hard left this book took into Norse mythology was f**ing wild. The writing was not great, either. It left a lot to be desired. The dialogue overall was lacking. Many details could have been better. But, mostly, I took issue with the breaking of the fourth wall at the end. It was jarring and unprecedented and, frankly, made me angry while reading. Amidst the falling action, the FMC started talking to the reader, which really pulled me out of the story. It hadn't happened before and suddenly happened twice on the same page? I was also left with so many questions. Why did Han adopt so many dogs? What happened to them? What was the point in adopting them if they failed to find who he was looking for? Why did Havoc want to kill the FMC when she was a dog? Also, that ending? It resolved nothing and forced everything to bleed into the next book. I find that type of ending lazy. Even if the end is a cliffhanger, it will have some type of resolution. This had nothing. I really wanted to like this one because I adore the Artstyle and I always have a soft spot for Alice in Wonderland stories, but this one was so boring. I could not finish it and sadly the art alone was not enough to carry it. It is a shame because the premise is actually really entertaining and I like some of the characters. I do not like the incest trope that is here whatsoever. It is so dated and really dampened my enjoyment overall. Chickpea Spinach White Cheddar Mac and Cheese 🧀 I thought I hated mac and cheese. It was just heavy, never had enough flavor, and felt heavy. I’ve learned I’ve just having it wrong! I took @daiyafoods gluten free and dairy free white cheddar mac and cheese and added roasted chickpeas and spinach and of course, seasoning. To make the chickpeas, I drained and dried a can of chickpeas and added seasonings. Salt, pepper, paprika, and a little homemade mix as well. You can air fry them or I oiled a pan and waited for little pops. I usually air fry, but this was fun to try! Still just as good. They were my protein to my pasta. And some fiber! The spinach was simply spinach cut up and added for some green and texture. I made my leftovers and added chopped zucchini as well which added some nice texture. But to help the flavor, all mixed together I topped off with a little pepper and extra homemade seasonings from the chickpeas. It was a really filling and cozy meal! And now I’ve learned I do like mac and cheese, it just needs a little something. Add protein, fiber, and veggies.
